Power Outage Backup With Rechargeable Battery Included For Power Blackouts

Good deal for South Australians !!!

    • +1

With Hazelwood closed and industrial action at Loy Yang, Victorians might want to also consider purchasing.

I wish this was first world problem, but reliable power is one of those things that separates developed from developing countries.

  • Are the Dimmables cool or warm white?

    • +2

      It doesn't say.

      • +1

        I know, that's why I asked…

I can't be bothered going there if they're all going to be cool white… :S

        • +1

Exactly. You can always get a communist friend to stand underneath it and bask in their warm red glow?

        • +1

Don't know about this batch, but previously all the ones I saw at ALDI were warm white (2700K).

That was for the ES bulbs, not sure about the others.

  • Terrible price for the RGB strips, can get Aus stock for less than half the price on eBay.

    • +2

I've heard the quality can vary a lot. Just thought this might be better quality, backed up with an Aldi 1 year warranty.

Would love to hear from anyone who has had any experience with this.

      • How is Aldi's warranty prease?

Recently a vacuum stopped working after 3 months use..

        • +1

During the first 60 days, there's automatic money back in store. For the balance of the warranty, it really depends on the supplier. You'll find online reviews that suggest that some suppliers are better than others and that individual experiences can be mixed. Usually the suppliers have a 1800 number to call as a first step.

        • By consumer law, Aldi have to take product back under warranty. You don't need to deal with their supplier (despite supplier asking to call them first). Usually easy refund under warranty. Suppliers may not want to repair anyway.

        • @Infidel:

Ok, thanks. I much prefer this option

        • @movieman:

          Thanks.

          On Aldiswebsite:

"You are also entitled to return to your local ALDI store with the faulty product and acceptable proof of purchase for an alternative remedy."

Will use it to get the item resolved. Thanks

    • These rbg strips have power brick included and it appears to be individually lit

  • Great. How much were the Motion Sensor Bulbs last time?

  • My local ALDI never has a decent amount of these things, and what little they have sell quick.

    • I agree, they sometimes don't have a lot of stock. On other occasions, stock sits around for weeks. However, whenever I've been in the queue before they open the doors on the first day, I've really missed out.

  • Was mentioned in this deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/305144

The smart bulb with Motion Sensor they any good? any one has one want to comments?

    • In addition, how long does the light stay on for? Also do they have a photo sensor, i.e do they only turn on at night?

      • Can the motion sensor be overridden and just used as a normal bulb?

        • I don't think it can be used as normal bulb.

    • Just got it yesterday, pretty good so far.
Turns off after 1 min of detection.
It also has light sensor so automatically turns off during day time.
They say it can detect upto 8 meters.

  • just bought the 5m led strip but the Strobe function on the remote doesn't seem to work, it does the same as the Fade button. Can anybody confirm theirs have the Strobe button work?

    • mine stopped working after the first try. the connection looked loose/broken where the pins go in. Not very confident of the quality of it anymore.

    • Strobe does NOT work on mine either (Not a function I would choose to use anyway) but it would be nice if it worked as advertised
