SAMSONITE LITE-SHOCK SPINNER 75CM PETROL BLUE
Light and sturdy travel suitcase made from Samsonite's patented Curv material.
I've used Samsonite Curv range of travel luggage for a while now, also purchased from Luggagegear a few years ago.
From what I can see, Cosmolite, Firelite, Lite-shock seem to be all very similar with very slight difference in shape and weight, while the Lite-Cube has more bells and whistles (but more pricey and heavy).
They are more expensive compared to other brands, but to me it is worthwhile when every gram counts at the airline check-in desks.
Some specs that matter;
* Patented Curv material
* 4 spinner wheels
* Monotube handle - extends in 2 stages, but seems thinner than other models.
* 3 digit TSA combination lock
* Made in Europe
* Size: 75cm x 51cm x 31cm
* Weight: 2.5kg (extremely light for a hard case of this size)
* Capacity: 98.5 litres
* Warranty: 10 Years
Other colours are listed for $509 (without coupon) but only Petrol Blue is listed as $382.
I applied one of the old coupons found in ozb, and the above mentioned coupon code took extra 5% off, down to $362.90.
Luggagegear ships items for free (to an Australian postal address, I presume) if over $80, so free delivery thrown in.
I read on some travel forums that certain European airlines have check-in luggage size limits, and the 75cm size is practically the maximum you travel worry-free on size limits.
Can anyone please explain the different models in Samsonite? Cosmolite FL, Cosmolite 3, Lite Shock, Firelite…which one is the later model?
