Map Caffitaly Bravista Coffee Capsule Machine w/ Milk Frother by Saeco $54.99 (RRP $340), Map Caffitaly Pod 80pk $24.99 @ COSTCO

40

Hi guys, I've been hunting for a Coffee Machine for a couple weeks for Mother's Day. Just found this one out last night while shopping at local Costco (Adelaide). Based on my research, Capsule Coffee Machine with Milk Frother would normally cost more than $150 (Nespresso). This one is manufactured by Saeco (part of Philips) and the quality is good. Given a machine with RRP $340 (http://mapcoffee.com.au/map-saeco-bravista-espresso-milk-fro…), I thought it is a good deal. Unboxed last night and had a couple this morning, the machine was quite nice with the Milk Frother.

The Coffee Capsule that can go with it is also on special for $24.99 (8x10 packs) which is equivalent to 31c per pod. I thought it is good deal too. For those who worried about the on-going cost of buying compatible Caffitaly capsules (like me), I did a quick search and found Woolworths sells variety of them at 37c per pod (https://www.woolworths.com.au/Shop/Search/Products?searchTer…).

Please be gentle on me - and I know Capsule Coffee may not be as good to everyone's taste. So it's just for those who'd like to buy one to start their home-made coffee…

The Costco coupon started a couple weeks ago and will expire tomorrow (7th May), so be quick - there're lots of stock (in Adelaide Costco). Costco membership required.

Have a good weekend!

Caffitaly pods are $10 for 80 at Kogan (+$5 postage to my location), so $25 is a bit much.

    • Thanks a lot for the hint! I'm new to the pod coffee - good to know there are better place to buy.

      Cheers.

Watch the use by date on Kogan coffee pods. They are regularly either out of date or short-dated

coles puts the Map pods $4 on special some times
you can use any cafitally pods on this machine as well as the ALDI brand
    also Gloria Jeans pods work

    • Thanks mate! Good to know there are many alternatives. cheers

      • Also Moccona and Grinders pods as well

You can use cafitally pods in an Aldi machine but DO NOT use Aldi pods in a cafitally machine, as the filters are in the wrong place on the Aldi pods and you can damage the cafitally machine. One exception is the 'non coffee pods'.

Officeworks also sell MAP pods, so whenever they are on special at Coles and Woolies for $ 4 .. OW can price beat to $3.80..

      • Thanks for the alternatives. Got excess storage of Wish eGift cards to use if woolies have it on special…

RRP $340 is a bloody joke but good price on a decent review coffee machine, will drop by my local costco today to see if there is still stock.
    Thanks op, good find

    • Agree on the joking RRP - I was shocked by it when I found out! Should be lots of stock as it seems less popular…
