When you say 4K required does that include Netflix? if so the Xiaomi mibox is the pick. 4K youtube is also not straight forward on most android boxes.
Out of the two listed, I would suggest getting the first one because it uses the Amlogic S905X processor. The second one uses a Rockchip processor.
If you just use the boxes as they are (running Android), then I guess there's probably not much difference. But with the S905X box, you have the option of installing LibreELEC, which is Kodi running on top of a minimal Linux distribution. This is supposed to provide better performance compared with the built-in Android.
I wonder if Australia is going to have a media driven Kodi panic like is happening in the United Derpsdom at the moment.
