I am travelling to cambodia and vietnam and would like to ask for recommendation on getting a data coverage while travelling.

Go in to any convenience store in VN and they'll sell you a sim card for a couple of dollars - there's a couple of big telco's over there, I usually stuck with Mobifone. They all come with generous minutes and data allowances, no idea what they are as it's all in Vietnamese, but if you run out just buy a new SIM
I just got back from vietnam and cambodia last week.
Arrived at Saigon/HCMC airport and bought an unlimited 4g data sim for 220,000 dong (~AU$13). they checked then and there that it was all activated and good to go. my tip - Uber is really handy for getting around.

the Cambodian sim I bought at a shop in Cambodia - plenty of shops sell sims -especially in tourist areas - just look for a sign.. US$5 for the sim (cambodia use both US$ and Cambodian whatever. added US$2 of credit (which you buy as a small scratchy card with a hidden code). it lasted me 5 days of constant interwebzing.

Vietnam and Cambodia are different countries remember that - dont expect the same service across both.
Also ensure your phone is unlocked before you leave Australia

Sorry I didn't bother with a SIM in VN so no recommendations. Free WiFi all over the place (in the city) and I cached some maps on my phone.
