One of the only beers I buy from Dans has been reduced by $5.09. Its good drop with some solid malt body and a nice hops kick to boot.

i love craft beer but its a little out of control now.. 16 bottles/cans to a "carton", those weird cans that open up entirely at the top, absurd labelling. It seems half the cost of these beers is in the design of the packaging to make it unique. I'd rather pay $72 for a carton of 24. At least it makes it worth the trip to the bottle shop.

Also there's nothing wrong with export. Drinking craft beer doesn't suddenly make you better than the brilliant aussie duo (VB and export of course).

        • Craft beer costs more to produce over all, It's not just the labels. The cost of a carton would be $82.50 if they sold it in 24pk cartons so the 16pk cartons are a great solution.

I think this beer is great value especially at $55 for a 16 bottle carton of 8%.

        • @SwampCrack: 8%? The Dan's link says 6.8%.

@ilikeradiohead: My Bad, I missed the '6.' part. It is definitely 6.8%.

        • @ilikeradiohead:

If 8% then yuck, most beers lose their "beeriness" once you get pat the 7% mark. Ideally it's 4.5-5.5% ABV, a good mixture of potency and flavour.

        • @Sir Casm:

Never tried holgate's millennium falcon then? 10% on that sucker and such flavor. A beautiful example of brewing.

He sounds like Jeremy and should name his show "Top Beer"

    • That article is basically saying that craft beer is bad for the consumer because beer should be consumed for convenience only. Based on that logic the time I'm looking for a good feed Ill just walk into the nearest servo for a pie instead of going to his restaurant.

  • disappointed little dove not on special anymore was almost a good month of it being $68-69 for carton of 24

    • Yeah I regret only getting 1 carton at that time.

Will definitely get more next time it's on special
