  • My folks have one, I go out to theirs to make bulk batches of pizza dough so I know they are pretty great but still, they are damned expensive….

      i like pizza. mad invite

  • Get the Kenwood Chef Mixer for around $300 (KMC510W). Does the same job with a more 1000W powerful motor. Also has five year warranty.

    • where did you get that?

      • +1

did a quick search and using same discount code, you can get it for $383.20 from Myer ebay

Used to be sold at the good guys for $329 but looks like the model has been superseded now. Bought it with a 20% off ebay code late last year and its been a great solid mixer.

        • Will have a look out for it. 383 is a bit much but around 300 would be good!

Yeah, that 1000W motor is the same when they put speaker output like PMPO 1000W and you can barely hear it. That is exactly what I was wondering when I was deciding which to buy and asked on their forum how is it that when making dough KitchenAid was more powerful even though supposedly it was inferior to this. Needless to say, they didn't respond. But what they did was to delete my question. Sometimes you get a bargain, but generally you get what you pay for.

  • Apart from the price what's the difference between the KSM170 and the KSM156?

    • The only thing I can see was the Construction which is listed as "Full die cast metal" (KSM170) compared to "Full Metal contruction" (KSM156/160). The KSM170 looks to be a new model.

Has 14 more KSMs. Baboom. I'm here all night.

  • still struggling to get KSM156 at the price or not… coz the lowest ever is $486.2 (as searched in ozbargain) by Peters of Kensington.

or KSM 160 is another option, the lowest ever is $559 by TGG……

    • It depends if you really one or not.

      • +1

        I really one.

  • If you buy in store, you get a free spiralizer attachment. Does anyone know any tricks to get the attachment included in the eBay listing?

    • Send them a question asking about it?

      • I have, but they haven't replied as yet.

        • Got a reply from Myer this afternoon saying the bonus item is not included in the eBay store.

    • checked gumtree… someone sell it at $80 only.

  • +1

Ebay listing is $649, David Jones has it for $629 with a free spiralizer…

    • $519.20 after coupon code though. So depends if you need the spiralizer or not

    • Thank you clintonw. I needed the spiralizer and this is a good price. With $30 Amex credit, it worked out well for me.

  • Did anyone see where it is mentioned in the ebay listing that the bonus spiralizer is excluded?? I can't see it being excluded.

    • Spiralizer is an extra accessory and unless the listing specifically states it's included, then it is not part of the sale. Also @karnage1020 has mentioned in a comment above that he got confirmation from MYER that the spiralizer is not included in the ebay listing.

However including the spiralizer on their website listing but not including it in the eBay listing, when the price on both listings are the same, doesn't make sense.
