  • IDK, but that kid isn't fat because of only his choices, it's the parents that were lazy with food choices and getting him active and confident. I wonder if they plumped him up just for this doco all along.

      You're hilariously naive ;)

      • put up facts if you feel you know more.

i dont see how spamming this on OzBargin is going to attract you customers

    • -1

I know this wont be for everyone - but I didn't realise posting something that is at the best price it has ever been was spamming - maybe I've misunderstood what this site is about - I know that's what I personally look for on here.

Like, in your last 13 days?

        • Zing! Was going to say the same…

Also, best price ever when its your content is hard to justify, if you try to sell a product at an unreasonable price and need to lower, does not make it a bargain.

On the upside, you also offer rental through Vimeo for $8.38, why not mention!

Remove your links to ebay if you no longer sell on ebay.

Have been on for a bit over a year - but just got around to setting up an account because I wanted to start getting alerts - so it might not look good - but no bad intentions

        • +2

@noone025: Been dropping the price consistently for the last few years - many other independently made films in the similar industry have been around the $30 mark for more than 5 years - thought it was being reasonable.

Thought people would see the rental if they wanted that option -this post was about the DVD.

Links updated - thanks for the heads up - haven't been on top of it.

And the cheapest way to watch it online as far as I know is to sign up for a free trial on FMTV and you can watch this and heaps of others for 10 days - so if you're looking for a bargain head over there.

And thanks for all the advice - I'm new to this.

        • @evolvee: Good attitude, thick skin needed on here…

      • we like bargains not junk.
crap like this should be free

        • +1

This should probably be our attitude to stuff like McDonald's and Hungry Jack's.

        • @Miss B:
          Why?

          Thanks for your thoughts.

          thanks for your non deal

        • @tuzii: you're welcome.

        • @tuzii:
It's crap/junk. Starting to get pretty expensive too, HJs is a bit better with the vouchers.

  • 2014?

  • +8

This posted after an HJs post 😂

Anyone think it is Ironic that this post is just above the Hungry Jack vouchers?

    • +1

Yep….which has almost 200 upvotes….while we are b!tch!ng over here that it is a crap deal.

Junk food posts are so entrenched, so pervasive & so 'normal' on OzBargain that I think the very people that need to get basic information on our daily poisons are the very ones who would be first to run kilometres away from it.

It's just a reflection of how 99.999% of people are in normal life. We have been so brainwashed by slick marketing & junk food lifestyles. I don't see anything changing unless a crisis hits…and you could argue it's very close if not already here.

    • +1

I was pretty shocked when I found out some people eat junk food on a daily basis, I guess I was lucky to have reasonable nutrition habits instilled in me early.

Also, there's a big difference between something like pizza and then something that's been through a deep fryer - trans fats and all. But many don't realise this.

      • I was pretty shocked when I found out some people don't eat junk food on a daily basis.
I mean, what kind of weirdo household do these people come from?

You could sign up to Amazon Prime Video for USD$2.99 for a month and watch this and heaps of other stuff :)

    • +2

The best deal is actually on FMTV - you can sign up for a 10 day free trial from memory - watch as much as you like including this film and then if you're not happy or were just looking for freebies you can cancel your account before you get billed.

      • why did you post that then?
        rather than obvious spam?

        • +1

Because this post was about a DVD deal - not streaming deals.

        • @evolvee:
but streaming this free is a deal, while a $20 DVD offer isn't.

        • +1

@tuzii: ok - thanks for your thoughts.

  • +2

I don't think this is much of a bargain, less so because of the demographics. Nevertheless, I don't doubt your intentions. This is however, just the state of the community unfortunately.

  • +1

    Yep, booko says cheapest.

Here's someone selling it for $200.
That's maybe $2/kg for this particular fat kid.

Some folk on here assume we can all stream movies, and even if we could, it would be free.
That kind of thinking is for dummies.

Sometimes AngryChicken gets a little tired of OB folk with their gratuitous criticism of OP's.
AngryChicken likes using the word 'gratuitous'.
Let the voting system do it's work … and be nice to people.
Maybe the next deal offered by this cherished member will be super - if she/he/it decides to come back.

    I love you OP.
    Please come back.

You can sign up for a 30 day Amazon Prime trial and watch this (and many other programs) for free. This is not a good deal I am sorry. I am surprised you are advertising the DVD version of this program when we live in a digital age. I (and many people I know) do not even own a DVD player anymore. Laptops usually do not come with a DVD drive either. This comes across as a bit of an attempt to get rid of 2 year old stock which no one wants anymore. I would have expected the price to be cheaper to do this.

On a side note did anybody watch the documentary on SBS with the overweight guy who went to Japan and bought the Japanese diet and way of eating back to Australia to lose weight? I thoroughly enjoyed that.
