Hi,
I received emails from from Tiger Air today letting me know that my flights have been rescheduled, and since new flights were within 4 hours difference from original flights I had no option but to accept it.
This didn't sound right to me so I went through their terms and conditions, I found out that if they change flights more than 2 hours for domestic and 4 hours for international I can get a refund or rescheduled for free. They still denied saying its not the case and we don't do international flights, and still said we can't refund or reschedule flights for free.
I had to guide them over the to the link where it clearly says I can, then finally they admitted their website is not updated with new policies and authorised refund for the flight I had no intend of flying anymore and got different flight rescheduled to on Saturday which is usually more expensive.
Here is a link and its under "flight cancellations and schedule changes"
https://tigerair.com.au/tigerair-info/fare-conditions
"If your flight is rescheduled before the date of travel and departs, more than two (2) hours before a domestic flight or four (4) hours before an international flight before or after the original departure time, then you will be entitled to a travel credit or full refund of the unused part of your reservation if the alternative flight/s offered are not acceptable to you and you do not wish to travel"
Just Thought I should share with my fellow ozbargainers if they got same email and want to do something about it :)
Not really a loophole. You don't really have control on whether the flight gets rescheduled… Or do you?
