$100 off a single Coles Supermarket shop. $100 off will be activated on your flybuys account and available for use within 2 weeks of your first eligible purchase. $100 off will only be activated on the flybuys card quoted in the application process. To redeem the $100 off you must scan your flybuys barcode on the back of your new Coles MasterCard and spend a minimum spend of $100.05 after savings and discounts in one transaction at Coles Supermarkets or BI-LO (excluding smoking/tobacco product purchases and all gift cards). $100 off can only be used once and expires on 30 September 2017. Excludes Coles Express and Coles online.

    • So u need to spend $100.05 NOT $100 according to T&Cs, is the 5c for tax purposes?

  • The price drop coverage would be fantastic for buying phones and other tech. Would be a trade off against the extra year warranty with Citibank.

EDIT - Latitude financial….. no thanks I'm not touching this with a 30 ft pole.

The citibank warranty has an excess of $100 (CBA has the same iirc) which is quite high.

I think the coles mc was originally financed by wesfarmers, but they sold it off to GE money which was renamed latitude a while ago. I haven't noticed a change in the PDS ( I could have missed).

Coles Mastercards will soon be Citi as well: http://www.smh.com.au/business/retail/coles-enters-deal-with…

    • What's wrong with latitude if you don't mind? That said I'm about to finally close my 28degrees card because no bpay >:(

If you can remember AGC, the original dodgy brothers, it's effectively the same company.

      • What's wrong with using bank transfer? I know they dont have bpay anymore.

        • I forgot one time and was sitting at my desk paying off a bunch of bills in succession late at night and accidentally paid 28 deg using bpay. Sure it's my fault but (profanity) em. I have bank West now and their service is amazing so bye bye 28 deg. Yes I know bankwest is owned by CBA but they'll never get a cent out of me from this product.

        • @ippy:
Well so you make a mistake, but bank West is a debt card right? what if you in overseas and you don't have enough money transfer to that card?

        • @boomramada: No…. BW Platinum is the same as 28 deg BUT IT HAS FREEEEEE TRAVEL INSURANCE
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/credit_card_guide#bankwest… https://www.bankwest.com.au/personal/credit-cards/no-annual-…

So yeah sure, me screwing up is my bad but why shouldn't cut up my 28 deg card? Free insurance, bpay, better service over the phone? How can you say no to that? One time I called them and they addressed me by NAME. Some Aussie picked up too. There wasn't any IVR bullshit. I was like, "woah woah how do you know my name?" And they were like, "well, Miss, you called us using your phone number that we have on file…." . Like, damn, who else does this??? So many freaking times I've called up some bank and entered my credit card number with the number pad and when I get to an operator, they STILL ASK ME WHAT MY CC NUMBER IS. UM HELLO I JUST GAVE IT TO YOU ASSHOLES.

No I don't work for BW or any other bank.

  • Got rejected. Would it happen to be related to me having this card earlier this year and cancelling?

    • probably is

A WORD OF WARNING: I've been using this card for about 6 months, and it has been great, except for one thing. Twice in the past 2 months while purchasing something online they have charged our card without paying the merchant. Once it was with an ISP and another with a major department store. This left us with a charge on our card and nothing from the merchant. They're supposedly "investigating" it but we still haven't heard back about the first fraudulent charge from them.

    • As you well know they're not investigating anything, still dodgy brothers from the AGC days.

  • Last time I never got my card for some reason. Gave up after asking for replacement card two times :(

  • Pay off/top up credit card before each statement cycle for $0 premium.

Do you have to do this manually or can you set it up so that it withdraws from your bank account automatically?

    • You'd have to do it manually, otherwise it'll draw the closing balance which means you'll get charged the insurance premium. I diarise the billing cycle (same day each month) and transfer a day or two before.

That's unfortunate since Amex does it automatically.

  • " To redeem the $100 off you must scan your flybuys barcode on the back of your new Coles MasterCard and spend a minimum spend of $100.05 after savings…"

So do you need to spend $200.05?

      Just $100.10
