Yeah, there's the Sunshine Coast hinterland. Lots of great views/climbs of the glasshouse mountains and quaint towns (Maleny/Montville). I live approx 30 mins from these places.

I doubt the wafer part would go soft, it will just get stale. But you probably wont notice much difference within the first month or two of it passing it's Best Before date.
No you will not get diarrhea, Best Before means it's still good after the date, just not…. "best".
Bargain, but it's only specific to this store i would assume.
Price is because of the use by date, getting $5 for it instead or $0 because its out of date is better for the store ;)
