Even on discount those bikes are hideous IMHO.

  • Ill grab 5, what a bargain!

  • LOL Tri-Bikes are always so over priced. I mean unless you are looking to run a top 10 time for the entire competition you really don't need these.
But you know, people who are 60, live in the suburbs don't need Ferrari's but buy them. So knock yourselves out.

  • my car cost less.

Do they actually have any in stock? I know bike stores in Perth which keep ads on bike exchange months after they have sold out so they can upsell to something else when you walk in.

    • Sorry, I have not visited the store recently.

Given these bikes appear to be runout, my guess is that stock might be limited. For those interested in the bike, probably best to call the store.

I own two Cannondales - One road and one MTB. Their bottom brackets are shit and customer service left a lot to be desired. I will never buy one again and now tell all my friends to look at other brands.

you just saved me $4699 !

      • There are better bikes around. I foolishly bought my Cannondale MTB after swearing off them after my issues with road bike (bottom bracket creaking). Like the guy in the bike shop told me, they are a great design IF you have a pro team mechanic to clean it after every ride. The BB issues are well known by shops and cannondale, why they persist with an inferior design for consumers is anyones guess.

          heard the same.

but it's a downside to all pressfit style BB's if the BB in the frame is not made to spec and within specific tolerance it will creak. they use their own standard as well.

try copius amounts of grease (thickest you can find). or teflon (plumber's tape). might help.

never bought a cannondale for this reason. heard their warranty sucks too.

giant does a good warranty. and their bikes are reasonably priced.

        • @insular:

The solution is to buy a praxis works BB conversion to shimano cranks. People shouldn't have to fork out hundreds converting a new bike to shimano though!

        • @Jinx: not sure if that is a real solution. as it would slide into the BB just as a normal BB would and perhaps still creak. unless praxis specifically make their conversion BB's to be a little larger.

you need to change your cranks too then. its a bs solution if it works at all.

yeh bb30 standard and other pressfits don't sit well with me. minor gains for power transfer cause a whole lot of problems if there's even slight manufacturing defect.

I can confirm it 100% works. I did it to solve my BB creak many thousand km's ago and yep I had to buy new cranks. Which explains why I am so bitter at Cannondale ;)
The praxis expands as you install it and you also need to put anti seize grease all over it. Never slipped or creaked once since changing the stupid thing.

Plot twist: bargainbargain spends all the savings on eneloops!
