I've been waiting for a deal to come up on this phone and for me it just makes it across the line.
It can be had cheaper if you want to go grey import using eBay C20TEK code but I'd rather have Australian stock delivered in a few days for the around an extra $50.

Stock seems to be limited in stores (at least in SE QLD) so click and collect may not be an option.
S7 deals are good but I wanted close to stock Android.
What is so special about Stock Android?
For me I prefer it to Samsung overlay in particular. When your looking for a setting deep in the menu structure most guides will be refering to stock or near stock Android but Samsung always manage to group things differently or hide settings in different places.
No bloatware, faster updates (not always), more reliable ?
Snapdragon 625 vs 820?? How is that even a competition?
only s7 in US has snapdragon 820, everywhere else has the exynoss chip (which has a better rep).
On the flipside snap 625 has a great rep with battery life i think.

The 820 is also the weaker of the two variants. So comparing the 820 to the 625 is doing the S7 a disservice. And yet the S7 still comes out ahead
@Rail Rider95: Completely different phones. This one has MUCH better battery life due to bigger battery and a more energy efficient (and weaker) processor. Also doesn't come with arguably bad software + bloatware. Also who doesn't love karate-chopping their phone in the dark? :)

Been using it since Nov last year. Apart from the camera being mediocre in low light no complaints.
Recently took the phone off charge at 4am, took a flight to Melb for the day and back home at midnight (20hrs off charge), home with ~25% battery left.

You need to weigh up the consequences if you're caught v the small gain you'll make.
nice phone but there doesn't seem to be much difference between the specs of this and the g5 plus, except the z play has an aluminium body and slightly bigger screen.
the g5 plus was cheaper too, although that's the 16gb version with 2gb ram. don't know that the 32gb/3gb version would be much more expensive.

I honestly think the Moto G5 Plus is better value than this….
