If anything like this one http://www.kmart.com.au/product/cross-winged-clothes-airer/1… they are pretty rubbish

    • Different colour and few other attachments in comparing photos.

      Also, its cheaper than Kmart

    • Yea I have that Kmart one. Looking to replace it as it is falling apart. Hope this one is better.

      We've got this one :
      http://www.kmart.com.au/product/clothes-airer---black/807341

really like it, takes up less floor space, nearly get a whole load on, went back and bought another :)

    • I've been using 2 of those for the past 4 years. They're still in fine shape and do the job.

Better product at the same price… (http://www.ikea.com/au/en/catalog/products/20244832/) We`ve had this Ikea drying rack for 3 years and its as good as new.

Nice, you never get out of ikea buying only one thing though.

        Same Goes for Bunnings.

You don't spend days fighting your way out a maze at Bunnings though.

    • Do you use it outdoor? If so, any sign of rust?

      • +1

        Indoor use only.

    Thanks, OP. $19 is cheap.

For fella don't live close to Bunnings, I recommend stainless steel airer from eBay (example), about $27 delivered. We got two, very happy with them.

I have compared a few airers and this $29 from Kmart is made from steel and is the sturdiest I have seen, also big enough to fit a heap of clothes.

So how much is this usually?

  • +1

I had this Bunnings one and it's pretty crap. We gave it away. It takes up a lot of space and you can't really fit that much on it. You can't fit big items like bath sheets onto it because the rails go across rather than along the length. If you need to hang big things like towels you're much better off with something like this http://www.kmart.com.au/product/deluxe-winged-airer/1393303. Bunnings used to carry something similar but no longer.

Can't remember how much it costs to buy it from Costco but it's sturdy and used outdoor with little signs of rusting.

  • I'm looking to buy one, so which one is best for outdoor which doesn't rust quickly and sturdy enough? Thanks!

    • None of them last forever when used outdoors. On steel ones, the powder coating cracks and falls off. All the stainless-steel ones have plastic parts which also crack.

If you want something that will last a long time, buy an aluminium pool fence panel from bunnings, and mount it horizontally somehow - maybe on wooden trestles? Make sure it doesn't touch any steel, aluminium and steel are a bad combination, the steel will rapidly rust.

Note that the bars on pool fencing are too thick for pegs, just clip the pegs to the clothes only, just underneath the bars.

    Good find….we bought this one
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/daytek-18m-winged-laundry-airer_…
on special (around $29)complete garbage, the welds started letting go on the main cross wires less than 3 weeks after purchase…(got refunded)

    • I bought this one too, and its been working great for 6 months now.

  • Glad yours is good…Maybe i got one that a new starter made and instead of welding, used PVA glue
