If you're going to promote yourself as an education company (albeit in mathematics) you MUST maintain a decent standard of the English language on your website. I appreciate that you're focused on maths, however, it calls the credibility of your teachers into question when there are terrible errors on your site.

"We know that as you student you don’t have much money"
"practice" and "practise" are different words with different meanings but you've used them in the same context
"we would always recommended a conservative approach"

Most alarming is your refund policy… you'll definitely need to address this.
"All purchases are final and non-refundable" - to make that claim is illegal under ACL, you'll need to change this immediately! See https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees…

Best of luck guys, but you'll need to work on the site a little more.

    • to make that claim is illegal under ACL,

Is that true for services? lots of courses have a no refund or very limited refund policy if you decide to pull out late.

Yes if you decide to withdraw then you're not entitled to a refund (unless it's an RTO and it's before the census date). Also changing your mind, of course, means no refund etc, which is covered under the ACL. But if the items offered don't match the items received (the exam samples, the workings, if questions don't match the curriculum as advertised etc) then you can definitely claim a refund.

There are terms where a refund can be warranted, and times where it isn't, but a business definitely can't say "Absolutely no refunds!". It's not a dig at the business at all, it's something that can get them into trouble. Sure they likely won't cop a $10,000 fine but I'd hate to see a bunch of guys wanting to help people and make some money at the same time get into trouble eith the ACCC. Perhaps "once a course has been attempted, no refunds will be given. You are still entitled to your rights under consumer law" or a similar disclaimer would be appropriate and sound more friendly too.

I had a plumber come do some work a year ago and he gave me a hand written invoice (including GST) from his carbon paper book and it didn't have his ABN on it and was surprised when I told him that without the ABN on there almost 50% can be withheld by me as PAYG withholding tax, and that if he's charging GST, he need "Tax Invoice" at the top, not just "Invoice". He was very confused and said that he didn't know about these things and asked if I'd let him change the invoice. Of course I did and told him to call Small Business Development Corporation as soon as possible to get up to speed on operating his business or to get an accountant to help him set it up. I hate to see people give things a go and then end up on the wrong side of a government agency!

It's great that on most pages it clearly states that they provide it based on the VCE standard so someone from NSW can't demand a refund saying that their exam didn't have similar questions.
