is an excellent deal. did some amazing prints around 6 months ago when this promotion was last on. Highly recommended. Use 300dpi files (6000x9000 pixel images) for colour and 150dpi files (3000x4500 pixel images) for black and white.
if the software does not show the correct code etc, just email their support and they will send you a link and also give you a list of stores nearest you running this promotion.

    • 6000x9000? where did you get a 54 megapixel camera? ;)

Even stitching together 15mpx is going to be a major pain?

      • a professional photographer took our shots and we requested 20x30" jpg so she created 300dpi files from RAW files. The shot was done specifically to take advantage of this type of promotion. She took over 100 photos and we picked 10 to get the 20x30" prints. Apparently it was not necessary to use photoshop to touch up the files.

We have a print on the wall from 18 years ago using Fuji Photopaper and is still very good.

        • were they using the hasselblad h3dii-50? even that is only 50 mpx not 54; so Im not sure your pictures were actually that resolution. Its probably just an interpolation which is what those really cheapo digital cameras do (14mpx but say 5mpx sensor only)

          • @voter1: Maybe flyingtrapeze means 6000x4000??? Both Sony and Nikon share this sensor (6048x4032). Larger number is typically stated first. Just a thought.

            • @[Deactivated]: yes but he did state 300dpi and the 20x30 canvas which exactly equals the 6000x9000 resolution.

just informing people not to get duped into thinking that "wow - my photographer uses 6000x9000 resolution pics when in fact no such thing exists"

that said though, you could use a 15mpx shot and still get a decent looking 20x30 canvas depending on composition. (something arty not trying to be super sharp corner to corner)

              • @voter1: Maybe their photographer is testing a pre-production sensor for Canon…
                http://www.dpreview.com/news/1008/10082410canon120mpsensor.a…

                • @[Deactivated]: saw that - but the older 50mpx version wasnt released either! ;) shame…

I assume its because it probably chews up so much power you need a car battery to use it.
Not even mentioning the fact that the sensor is going to be worth a $$$$ load.

hey even the hubble space telescope "only" has 96 megapixels. however their sensor size is at least 42x full frame! Plus they have all the time in the world to stich together star photos.

oh and for the above post "Apparently it was not necessary to use photoshop to touch up the files." Thats the problem I see - this is a clear lie. Go to photoshop, resize image, 9000x6000 @300dpi - oh look no photoshop o_0

  • where did you get the code from?

i entered it onto the site and the program, and it both said that the code doesn't exist.

    • camerahouse uses 2 different software, one for prints and one for other stuff. the code only works in one and not the other. hence the confusion. been there before. give it another try.

  • Same, it's invalid here, what happened?

  • the support folks are very helpful, try emailing them.

the link I was given is here:
The software needed to order 20 x 30" prints is available here:
    http://help.onpix.com/GiftPix/download/?key=CHAU

not all the stores will run this promotion, email support for a list of stores near you that's running the promotion.

if you use very large files, the upload program might choke as they have to store it somewhere. get in touch with the store to email them the file if that happens to you. I received very good service last time from the Gold Coast store. Prints were picked up in Indooroopilly.

I scanned a 4x6" black and white (taken 35 years ago) and printed it at 150dpi to hang in the living room, turns out great.

  • Non of WA store supports that promotion…

    • the perth store is showing poster print at $19.95 for 20x30".
uninstall the original software from your email, install the software again using above link, all the stores in Australia will show up. Pick your store then activate the promotion. select gift and place order.
the whole downloading software, ordering and getting a file clear enough for a large print like 20x30 can be a lot of work.
