I'm looking at buying a power bank and xiaomi seem like a good brand. One thing I'm having trouble with is differentiating between the 2 and pro and why the big price difference, the only real difference I can see is that the pro is USB c vs micro, they both support quick charge, is there anything else I'm missing to explain the price difference.

I have the powerbank PRO.I bought it when it first came out. The Power Bank 2 came out later. And the need to use type c cable to charge is an irritant as i do not have any type c devices.
Unless you have a type c device go with the Power bank 2.
Even those with type c devices would be better off with power bank 2 as it is far cheaper. Thanks for your answers, I felt like I was taking crazy pills. I have devices that use micro, USB c and also lightning so I'll need a bunch of cables regardless. I'll just go for the 2 and save myself some dollarydoos!
Is either of the two compatible with GoPro Hero5 black?
Couldn't tell you sorry
Yep, thats the main differences, Micro USB vs USB type C. Note on the Pro version the Type C works for Input only. You cannot charge devices with the Type C interface, only the power bank.
The Power Bank 2 is also slightly thicker at 14.1mm vs 12.58 of the Pro if that makes a huge purchasing difference for you
The power bank 2 is better value in my opinion if you still have devices that have micro USB. The Pro version makes sense if you already have phones or devices that have the USB type C cable, saving you the hassle of carrying a difference cable but that's up to you if you think its worth the price difference.
