HI,
I am looking for a new washing machine. I have a budget of 1k.
I am looking at front loaders because they are more energy efficient but problem is with the moisture buildup. I don't mind top or front.
Any suggestions?

Always leave the door of a front loader open
Doesn't need to be open all the way, just not clicked shut
If you leave it clicked shut, over time, the rubber seal flexes and won't seal properly during a wash
I guess it allows that little bit of water to evaporate also, never thought about that before….
We got an LG WD14022D6 - works great

Out of budget, methinks.

I still prefer top loaders as it allows me to add things that I find even after I have started the wash.
Quite a few people I know have Fisher & paykel ones that's lasted 10+ years.
Depending on how big you need, there's plenty under $1k I think.
Have a look at appliances on line , there pricing is very good, and front loaders save you a lot of water.
If you meant the bottom flexible bit where the door closes and where water pools up after a wash, there is no fix.
However when I bought my front loader at Goodguys instore (pre ozbargain days), the assistant advised me to put a cloth or something to absorb the water after every single wash.
Just leave the cloth there and leave the door open until the next wash cycle.
If you look through the other deals, you may come across this problem which there is a solution for it. Had I bought it online, i would not have receive the great advice and be one of many to complain about its 'disadvantages'.
I have had no problems with my Samsung front loader. Sometimes I'm tempted to get the Bosch as it should be 'better' quality being made in Germany. The Bosch will definitely be in your budget
