Is Tandy.com.au Reliable?

Hello,

Well, I noticed on cashrewards that Tandy.com.au has a 3% reward, well, that isn't the main point. The main point is, I want this,

BUTTTT, theres a 15$ shipping fee on kogan's website. Now, when I go on Tandy, I see this…..

WHAATTTT!!! I could save 15$, but I've never heard of this website before whatsoever. So now, I can choose to save 15$ or I can you know… lose my money all together because I've never heard of this website whatsoever. So anyone consider this reliable or too sketchy? But all it stocks is Kogan's stuff. Thoughts?

    I thought Tandy went bust but reading up it seems Kogan bought the name, just like he did with Dick Smith Electronics.
    It says he relaunched the Tandy site in Feb 17.

    For some history the old Tandy stores were like the old Dick smith stores and there was over 300 stores in Australia. But of course that's not Tandy now.

      Tandy Electronics used to be more retail products than Dick Smith Electronics. Lots of remote control cars/boats, and the like.. more of an electronic hobby store :)

        They actually did have plenty components but they were all in retail packs and much more expensive than dickies. Two 1W resistors for 99c back in the 80s.

    Tandy.com.au is owned by Kogan, the same as Dicksmith.com.au

    They are perfectly fine to use, just rebranded Kogan website/goods.

    Do these all just connect to the same Kogan shop database or something? :P
    Genuinely curious cos unlike (say) insurance where each owned sub-company of the big insurance giant look and function quite different (at least in websites), all the Kogan brands look the same lol. Similarly when WotIf got bought it was instantly recognisable as Expedia.

      yep.

      We had many items in our house from Tandy.

      Realistic branded audio tape deck & headphones.
      TRS80 with an external tape drive to load the few games we had.
      Charger and rechargeable batteries.
