Perth to Singapore Return $433 Via Singapore Airlines (May, Aug, Sept, Oct)

760

I was cleaning up the expired deals on IWTF and found that Perth - Singapore Return via Singapore Airlines is on sale.

This is a full service airline so you receive bags & food. Next best deals are from Scoot but are a bit around $350 but you need to pay extra for bags and food ($56 each way) so around $450 total. It seems that this may be the cheapest Singapore Airlines Perth-Singapore flight seen on OzBargain. March: $445, March: $543, Feb: $457, Jan: $558. So price is trending down which is good for Perth travellers.

Some good dates for a weekend away if you take the late night flights out.

  • Any business class deals from Melbourne in June??

    • Have a look at Google Flights (hit the calendar) then plot the dates into IWTF, Skyscanner, etc. Cheapest I can see is $913 return on Philippine Airlines which connects through Manilla. Pretty good value considering you get lounge access (more bang for buck). Part of this deal.

      • Thanks but all the reviews for PAL have so far been negative

        • The Melbourne-Manila business class route should be upgraded by July 15 according to AUSBT. Might be OK if you can get on one of the new flights.

Traveled on Singapore Airlines to Singapore last month… Geez those airlines need refurbishing. Ancient seats and IFE, was very disappointed for what is meant to be a premium airline.

Someone downvoted you but you're right. I fly SQ most of the time to Asia and they have a few certain planes (from Melbourne anyway) that are old and definitely need updating. If you get one of the newer planes though, they're amazing and beat out almost any other airline.

    • Yeah have to admit Singapore Airlines Canberra to Wellington it was pretty old as well. Old in flight system with limited chanels and broke before flight over.

Furthermore, when our flight home from Wellington to Canberra was cancelled they gave us four blankets and gave us a piece of paper to arrange another flight with them. No accommodation, no food vouchers, to a family with a 5yr old and a 3yr old. In fact we were cared more for by Air New Zealand staff than Singapore Airlines.

After advising earliest flight back was waiting for 4 days, we made other arrangements to get home. Then after the first nights delay, after booking alternate flights they came back saying they could get us the flight the next day.

Best part is so far tickets are non refundable even though they couldn't provide a suitable flight, this is continued discussion with them, but I won't be flying with them again in a hurry.

      • The SIN-CBR-WLG flights are operated by ageing 777-200ERs, some of which are getting on for 15 years old. They're being replaced by A350s, but I'm not sure how that route is doing and when it can expect the newer aircraft.

    • Waiting to get home to Perth (currently sitting their Gold Lounge - thank to Virgin). Their A330 is ok flying over, the ife of the last few rows kept going to sleep (black screen) requiring restarting now and then. I gave up and went to sleep.

  • Don't forget when you fly Singapore Airlines you receive a Changi Dollar Voucher (CDV) valued from S$20 to spend at the airport when you transit through Singapore.

Only if in transit, I don't think you can get it with this deal.
