Eh? This is cheap but not sure about the difference between 'exotic' and the usual 'classic'

'Classic' usually close to $40 for 10kg.

  • the india gate is down!

That price is good. Has anyone actually tried it? Awaiting an Ozbargainers review…

    • Anyone?

    • Haven't had India Gate exotic but I can vouch for India Gate Classic. Amazing rice if you ask me.

    • India Gate is the best basmati. I get the one in the blue foil bag from Costco or my local Indian grocer. Delicious, fragrant and super-long grains.

Never seen India Gate - Exotic in any Indian Grocery Shop whereas India Gate Classic is good and is much more expensive.

  • That's a really good price! I'm going to get a bag tomorrow afternoon. :)

  • I have tried this rice. No where as good as classic. To be used as an everyday rice, whereas classic is for special occasions like Biryani. Price is good though, for what it is. Enjoy :)

I have tried this rice too. It's great quality compared to others on the market but not as good as the Classic or Premium India Gate (which is so much more expensive). Nonetheless its still great for biryani and you can't really beat this price anywhere. My mum bought 20 bags!
