  • DO they have wheels ?

    • +1

      I have the Keji 50l one next to me (looks identical to the 30l in this post) and it does not have wheels.

      • I just checked in store.
        The keji 50l does have wheels. Not big ones but little rollers.
        The 30L has no weels. But at that size don't think they are required.

          Well mine bought from OW doesn't have wheels.

          It looks like it has the cut outs for them, but maybe they were taken off?

          I think the moral of the story is that people should check if they have wheels as they may or may not come with them.

          @c0balt:
          Sounds like a reasonable thing to do.

    Still seems to be some in North Sydney.
    I may go get a few and just use them as pots in the back yard

      the UV breaks down the plastic so not good for outdoor use or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight …. great value though if moving house or renovating ……

      • +1

        How quick does it break it down? My thoughts would be that they'd be good for atleast 2-3 years. At $1 an year i thought that is good value for a pot. I bought 3 already. Will drill a few holes down the bottom. Lids make good water pans as well.

          Agree with garage sale. I left one out in the sun for around a few months - 6-12 months, can't remember and by the time I tried to move the container it was very brittle and completely cracked every which way.

          Would not recommend leaving it in the sun for prolonged periods

          @sleet:

          Thanks for letting me know.
          I guess i may have to try paint them with some uv protectant outdoor paint that i may have lying around the house somewhere

          @alabatusa:
          All thart effort and terracotta pots will probably work out more afordable/practical long term

        • @DarwinBoy:

          Hard to find terracotta pots in a similar price in similar dimensions.

        • +2

          @alabatusa:
          True. I have picked up most of my pots at bunnings on clearence so have paid not much more for some very large pots.
          If you want something to grow stuff i have seen those styrene fruit boxes from wollies/coles last more then a few years and they should be free if you ask nicely.

        • @alabatusa:
          Also, the inside of terracotta pots requires 'sealing' with an additional (rather expensive) product, unless you are planning to just sit a plastic pot inside the TC one (or you are only planning to grow cacti!). Otherwise, the TC sucks out water.

      Just went and got some. North sydney has quite a few there if anyone wants em.
