If you sign up for the mailing list when first visiting the site you can get an extra 10% off - I paid $58.60 AUD for the Elite license (75% 0ff + 10% off)

The free version is great for tracking network traffic, I've wanted the extra paid features for ages but not at retail cost. This discount is what I've been waiting for.

Pro - Use with up to 3 PCs - 1 year history, 10 remote connections
Elite - Use with up to 10 PCs - unlimited history, unlimited remote connections

The software isn't a firewall, It works with the windows firewall to provide network information that makes it easy to see where data is going.
It'll notify you on software that access's the network, when that software changes version and where it's sending\receiving data.

WTF, what a scam product, you'd have to be an idiot to pay money for it, theres so many better Anti-Virus programs out there, heres one of the best:
    https://home.sophos.com/

youre getting a Neg, because of the wording of the product "Award-Winning Anti-Virus", the product is a no name, not award winning anything.
the website has remained largly the same since 2014, old crappy software.

please post real bargains, not junk bargains.

    • Awards. Seriously?

Definitely not a "scam product". Of course it is not "Award-Winning Anti-Virus" software. StackSocial (and you) misunderstood what this excellent software does and what to use it for.

Go to the source and read about it, try free version before rubbishing a product you do not know: https://www.glasswire.com Read some reviews. The software is definitely not same old piece of coding: there were around 35 released updates since 2014, the last one only ten days ago: https://www.glasswire.com/changes/

Please post responses with a clue, not ones like that.

    • Agree, but (free) Sophos UTM Home Edition is an even more prudent proposition. With so many internet clients in an average home, doing god-knows what, control and mitigation is best centralised.

      • @AlexF: again: GlassWire is not anti-virus software.

        • -3

          GlassWire is not anti-virus software.

In practice, neither is Sophos UTM Home Edition, because most traffic is now encrypted and most home users would not set up deep inspection on a UTM firewall.

        • +1

@AlexF: Right, and because of that it makes sense to talk about Sophos when discussing GlassWire. If Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor…

          @derek324:

it makes sense to talk about Sophos when discussing GlassWire

Sophos is a better and free.

      • I'm not really sure why you would be putting UTM as an alternative to this. They're completely different products and they're not even in the same category. Glasswire is basically a fancy (normally way over priced) monitoring tool with a flashy UI for doing basic Windows firewall rules. Sophos UTM is a perimeter security suite (perimeter security was well and truly dead 1/2 a decade ago; defence in depth is all the rage). No average user in their right mind is going to setup Sophos UTM or Sophos XG.

Ughhh, yeah i can agree, the wording sucks on the reseller site, It's not an anti-virus product. but its great network monitoring software.

I needed some software to check what was using data on my PC. Did a bunch of research and ended up with Glassware, free version. It did the job and was easy to use.

Don't need it now but the deal is solid for what its main use it, network monitoring.
