Storage boxes for garage

Anyone recommend storage boxes the larger the better, but also as cheap as possible, got tons of boxes in garage and noticed they are starting to crush and one day might fall down, not only that its not ideal keeping the stuff in cardboard boxes.
And it be a good way to get rid of the clutter and also tidy the garage up.
I did get about 6 large boxes when masters had some on offer but wished now i had got more.
But the bigger they are the better to hold as much as possible.
Any deals on right now if so where.

Try gardening/fruit/veggie shops. They usually chuck them away

    • Pretty sure OP is looking for more permanent solutions ie. plastic storage boxes and not more cardboard boxes.

Try hitting up Bunnings. There are medium-large ones for less than $10.

  • You're talking about the Really useful boxes? They still sell them at office works at eye watering prices and I haven't seen them on sale since Masters
Plastic boxes really are the way to go for storage, compared to cardboard, a more economical alternative are the Kmart 60 litre tubs - about $9 they can nest when empty, have wheels, clip closures and are stackable it's the optimal size for books and heavier items. Larger boxes are good for clothes, plastic toys however The main issue with larger boxes is that the plastic cracks with excess weight as do the lids and potentially your back.

For assessibility I would consider getting steel, shelving from Bunnings to rack your boxes and a label maker to tell you what's inside them,

  • super cheap auto had 130 or 140 litre for $20. I think the sale ended today

    • What i don't get is masters when open i purchased a few 85l ones sizes 83.3 x 52 x 53.5cm but sca sizes are smaller but says 130l how is this possible for sca to advertise 130l and its smaller than masters boxes where that was 85l?

    • Do you have them are they any good are they strong heavy duty i have not seen them in person but looking at pic they do look like them maybe flimsy?
The ones i got from masters way before they was closing was like $9 each and are heavy duty and feel strong.
These are to put stuff in sitting in cardboard boxes in garage and to stack and try and tidy it up a little.

  • Whats the better box for the money https://www.bunnings.com.au/montgomery-100l-heavy-duty-stora…

Or the ones from supercheapauto which is 30l bigger.
Can't see anything on supercheapauto saying its heavy duty?
