I am the same but probably pass on this deal. I have just about every console and handhelds (except the PS4) and a huge amount of backlog to get through. As cheap as this looks probably best wait until the end of year imo. With extra competition from the Scorpio and the Switch with Mario Oddyssey I think we could see some good price drops…

I reckon pro deals will improve in the months ahead but I can't see it getting near this price In 2017.
Scorpio will improve price 'war' but that's unlikely to be cheap so can't see it applying a lot of downward pressure.

Ok I just backflipped on my decision and caved in too lol. Bought a PS4 Pro w/Horizons and Mafia. Comes to $502.55 (pickup) with the 5% coupon included in the subcription email. Figured I'll just sell off both games and I'd have myself a pretty cheap Pro Console… was thinking of the 299$ slim w/ controller and remote but 500GB just doesn't cut it in this day and age of digital downloads. Also might give me a real reason to buy a 4K TV sometime this year and it would also save me the hassle of selling the slim had I bought it and buying again. :)
@980tibaby: Congrats on the purchase. You'll love the Pro. I just couldn't resist the PS4 slim bundle at its price point - regardless of whether I keep or sell any of the included peripherals.
Note the PS4 now plays nice with external storage so there's now the added convenience of attaching a USB3.0 HD down the track if ever the need to increase space from 500GB (or 1TB in your case).
Kinda on topic, where is the cheapest place to pick up a spare controller?

Well… I've been dealing with a company who'll take my old PS4 off my hands, once I sell them the extra controller (and my old 2nd hand one) as well as the remote etc etc etc I'll only have a $49 changeover cost to a brand new one! THANKS!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. A recent PS4 firmware update added the ability to use external hard drives as extra storage (as long as it's USB 3.0). So if you got the 500GB model and eventually realised it wasn't enough, you could easily pick up a 1 or 2 TB portable drive for under $100 and extend the PS4 storage space that way.

You can use the 5% off multiple times and if you've already signed up for the newsletter in the past can design up, eg. If you use gmail just add a dot anywhere in the name part of the address and it's considered a new address.
Got the PS4, seems to be the best deal in a while if ever, though I imagine they'll be announcing the next generation console soon as Microsoft has done. Xbone deals lately have been cheaper than PS4 so could be another price drop coming.
Any idea how long it takes JB to process a pickup order? I got all the confirmation emails except the actual one that tells you when to pick it up? I ordered around 11:30am but by close of business today, still no email… so hopefully I get one tommorow…

I had the same issue when I collected mine. The guy told me apparently there is an option to select if you "just want the console" or the "bundle deal" when you check out, which I was not aware off! Why would you give such an option when you have a bundle deal. Doesn't make sense to me at all and it so misleading. They will make a call to check on Tuesday as they are closed today and Monday. Let me know what was their response on your side.
I just check their website. So apparently there is a disclaimer just right at the bottom, at the start of their product description. It states that "All products must be added to cart to receive promotional discount ". It really hard to see as its not BOLD or CAPPED!

Anyway as she was nice to me and gave me second controller and uni remote then I didn't discuss further.
That good. Hopefully mine will turn out positive too. I actually called customer service and told them I was not aware of the disclaimer and argued that this seem so intentionally made to make customer miss out the bundle deal. She even agreed that it could be easily missed. And with the fact that the bundle deal was the same price as without the bundle is rather fishy. They couldn't do much as the offer was over. Hopefully the instore person can convince them. Fingers crossed.
