    I've had the Alcatel Pixi 3 4.5 4G for the past six months and the lack of RAM makes these phones almost unusable. Such a pity as the physical design is great, battery life is great, but the Alcatel software is so awful it takes about 30 seconds to start a basic phone call. There's also a whole bunch of Alcatel bloatware filling most of the phone's storage and memory, which was a real pain to remove. I had to root it then use the command line to delete it, as if I tried removing it with the usual bloatware removal tools, the Alcatel would simply re-install it all whenever I restarted the phone. The bloatware had to be removed from a hidden partition of the phone's storage, which is restored whenever you reboot.

    It takes minimum 20 seconds just to answer a call. The phone starts ringing, then the screens change slowly, then eventually you're shown a button to drag to answer. If you're already using something memory-intensive, it might be 30 or 45 seconds before you can answer a call. People reguarly hang up before I've even had time to answer the call. I'm sitting waiting for the phone to respond. If you have Evernote open and try to copy and paste something from a website or other app to Evernote or vice versa, the app you switch from usually closes itself and has to re-open again due to lack of memory. It sometimes takes more than a minute simply to open Evernote.

    I tried using Cyanogenmod but couldn't get sound working, not sure if they've solved it with the 5" version yet.

      I have the Pop 5" and its nowhere near that bad. Its about the same as an early generation Moto G.

      I use it as a backup travel phone… Uber, Maps, etc.. and its decent. 720p screen is pretty good as well. It was available for $60 not long ago.. bargain at that price.

        Ditto. Paid $60. My daily driver. Beautiful phone for the price. You can limit memory usage and it goes fine.

  I have an Alcatel Pop S3 4G. I use it as an FM tuner. That's what it's good for .. :-( .. !!

  Best way to unlock? How much $
