Power Drill

Hi
I am looking for a power drill, pref. cordless.
I know nothing about drills!. I need something with decent torque, so 18V or similar??? What's a good brand and model?

I saw this on ebay -

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HITACHI-18V-DS18DFL-CORDLESS-DRILL-18…

Is that any good? I will be drilling through hard wood.

Cheers!

  • Toys 'R Us

Seen a few nice ones in there recently

  • i like hitachi, we use them in the mines. However our drills are 5k each, so i couldnt comment on consumer models. Just keep in mind that ebay deal doesnt come with a battery or a charger

  • Go to Bunnings, get yourself their own Ozito brand; cheap as chips & tough as nails! Backed by a 3yr no-questions asked warranty…it breaks down, you take it in, they give you a new one, end of story! ;)

I know heaps of tradies that use them; the whole kit (drill, 2x batts & charger in a case) is usually cheaper than just a single battery for a DeWalt, Hitachi, Makita etc. :D
