  • Good work!

  • Thanks for that - I love whoppers

    Good post.

Just a general question, why do people keep on saying it is their first post and are asking for people to be nice with the comments?

If you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!

    • +2

haha so true, it makes me want to neg just because the ONLY reason people get flak is because their deals are not really deals… if you just make sure that you're saving money off of a good product that people like, there is NO reason that you'd get in trouble.

Plus does it mean we can be mean on their second post ;)

      • I am with you. Be confident and submit a good bargain. Let that do the speaking for you!

    • Thanks. I guess it encourages more constructive criticism :D

      • I don't think it does, as your can see it annoys people. Neutral from me because of it :D.

    • The other thing is, an icon automatically comes up telling us that it is someone's first deal, so telling the world its their first deal is redundant.
      It's become a trend!

      • Ahh, see, I didn't know this! I'll be sure not to tell the world it's my first post when I do one! :P

      1st time poster hey…….

Hrrrrrrrrr. I am going to eat you!

      ps. nice deal

    • +2

If you cant stand the heat stay out of the kitchen!

Many would interpret that as: if you find a bargain keep it to yourself!

Is that the way anybody would like OzBargain to operate???

  • Is this cheap? What does one whopper go for these days? $3.50-$3.75? Might save $1 I guess.

    • +2

Whopper is $4.45 each in my area, so you save around $2.45. Too bad it's only in WA.

      • +1

pretty much… burgers aren't usually that cheap, I think the reason meal deals seem cheap is that they throw in chips and a drink for not much more

  • +5

Anyone ever take advantage of the years and years of 2-for-1 whopper?? Best Ever.

    • That still going? Tried recently at the new melb central hj's and got rejected.

  • For Melbourne, it's 2 Big Macs for $8… Costs more and tastes worse… :(

    • +3

They aren't even sufficiently large enough to be called Big Macs. Used to actually warrant the name back in the 90's, I just call them Macs now

      • +2

can I get a big with that mac >.>

  • One Whopper burger contains:

2837kJ of energy, 40g of fat, and 1.07g of salt. Figures are higher if you add cheese or bacon.

So, two Whoppers equal 65% of your daily energy requirements (8700kJ per average person). I hope people aren't planning on eating two by themselves :-)

    • +7

Why not? that still leaves you with 35% of your daily energy requirements left to eat for the day… Maybe there's enough room for some large fries and a Diet Coke?

      • 2 x 2837kJ, 2 x 40g fat, 2 x 1.07g sodium for the Whoppers
1946kJ, 23.1g fat, 0.55g sodium for the large fries

        Total: 7620kJ, 103.1g fat, 2.69g sodium

So you can squeeze in an extra 1000kJ of total calories, are only 33g of fat over the recommended daily intake, and only 0.4g above the recommended intake of salt.

You could have a whole salad without dressing the the rest of the day and you'd only have had 50% too much fat.

    • Thats not even too bad considering some of their other burgers…

i remember when there used to be vouchers for 2 big macs for $3… and i'm only 23! how times have changed :(

    • +7

      23 what, stones?

      • It's been a while since stones were used as a measure of weight in Australia. All major industries converted to SI metric units by 1977 :-)

        • You sir are a party pooper.

          • @rawm: The ":-)" should have been an obvious clue.

    • can i have a 3 dollar happy meal. no its 50 bucks now!?

      (kk, i exaggerate… just a tad!)

  • I prefer the grilled chicken burgers. I'm sure come September they'll be new vouchers available. Boy I love junkmail posts.

Great post. Share with friends in WA and if you dont have any split between strangers!

Good post. Shame it's only for WA. +'ed

I remembered the time when they used to give out coupons for 2 Whoppers for $5.

  • You guys do realise you don't need this voucher? Previously hungry jacks advertised on tv 2 buy 1 whopper get 1 free. But they didn't put an expiry date. So that offer is on forever. If they refuse to give u second one free just ask for manager.

    :)

    • How long ago was this put on?
And was it a nationwide thing or location specific?

  • Just had my 2 whoppers. I feel sick…… :)

  • +1

Hungry jacks.. Heard from multiple friends who have worked there who say Hungry jacks kitchens are absolutely filthy, and there's even a family of cockroaches near the frier where the oil drips down apparently…
Never eating from that place again, otherwise, good deal for a filthy product! Not begging because it's a bargain, but no positive vote cause I trust my friends (3+ have worked there)

Remember when they were 2 for $3? sigh those were the days…

    • +1

im sorry, have to unpublish because maccas sent us a cease and desist a while back :( they have been permanently banned from ozb

  • Going back about 7 years it was $4.45 for two whoppers and you could go through the drive thru and say you had a voucher and they wouldn't even ask for it on payment! Ahh those were the days lol. Good deal for this day and age though!

    • +2

i remember they use to send books of vouchers out in the mail.. do they even do that anymore.. bloody hell, i want cheap whoppers!!! guess if they get any more expensive, that'll be a good excuse to just cook :P

  • I remember the day when you could get 2 Bacon Deluxes for $4…
