Spotted this at BigW Woden ACT for $12 - not sure if other stores have the same price. It's also available on BigW online for $17 (link)
The sorter states it works with all major building block systems, which I presume includes LEGO (it's also right next to the LEGO area). Inside the box is a set of grids of slightly different sizes to do the sorting.
I don't have enough LEGO to justify a purchase, so can't testify to it's effectiveness. Some information I've gathered online seems to indicate that it may not be the best at sorting, but is still useful as a storage container.
There were about six left at BigW Woden yesterday.
