I've been using this cable for my nexus 5X ever since Google approved HOCO type C cables.
sub $5 is a good price for a type C when bitzwolf sells for 5$+

Referee gets $2 in coupons. Referrer gets 10% off (if referee spends over US$10)
This is what Benson Leung has to say about this cable:

TL;DR - It's not a USB3.1 cable, only supports USB 2.0 High Speed and therefore the neg.
That's a cable from the same company that is no longer sold.
No USB C are Google approved. Benson Leung, a Google engineer, evaluated a number of USB C cables.
I'm not so sure that "approved" is the best way to describe it.
"One more #USB #TypeC review today. This time, the HOCO cable passes my CC termination test (it has a 56kOhm resistor), but I still only give it 3 stars because of false advertising : the product description clearly gives the impression this is a USB 3.1 SuperSpeed cable, but it was not.“

The review is for a different product. But the updated product listed above has not been reviewed by Benson Leung. It is not Google approved AFAIK. The original product no longer sells on Amazon, probably because of the false advertising and Amazon policing USB C.
be careful with this seller. I bought a watch without insurance and was missing. they said they will refund half as i didnt buy insurance. i never buy from this seller again.
