Anybody used this on their shower screens?

    • -1

I've tried rain-x and it didn't seem to last very long. Works well on pool fences and windows though.

      • I bought a similar product from aldi yesterday, and applied it to my shower screen.. Didn't do squat. It worked well on my car windscreen though.

  • Same performance as Rain-X?

    Great price!
This goes on special occasionally for around $7.50 at Woollies. Haven't seen it this cheap before.

Not as good as Rain X, but close. I use more, but it's cheaper.
I work night shift and drive 54 km's each way in the country, so I always have this stuff stocked at home.

I also clean my windscreen with super fine steel wool from Bunnings to remove impurities on the glass and it seems to work well. I know, steel wool right! Google it. I was surprised.

Just tried to grab a few bottles, but out of stock in so many stores I can get to. Shipping kills the deal unfortunately.

    • That's one way to get that uber cool 'frosted glass look" =P

Nah, use the ultra fine steel wool. Laughed when I was first told, but did some reading and experimented on the paddock basher and it works fine.
No issues with my 2 cars' windscreens which must be about 2 and 3 years old now.

  • is this for inside or outside?
my 3 cars almost always look like the photo applied with this stuff in the rain, I use nothing and my cars normally only get washed every service

    • Outside.
I've only used rain x and it works that you don't even need the wipers on a lot of the time or if cars have the wipers running full speed, you would only need low speed.

My whinge though is about windscreen wiper blades which are always replaced during a car service. You know the ones, they last apx 6 weeks max before you hear them struggling against the windscreen.
Anyone know if the Rain Repellant will help the blades?
