Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 Tech :
Quick Charge 3.0 is a power charging technology dramatically shortens charging times than as it adopts the Qualcomm QC 3.0 standard.
This enables the power adapter to provide the following range of voltages: 3.6-12V, to charge at speeds of 4 times faster than conventional charging technology, to charge at speeds of up to 27% faster than QC2.0 Tech.

Qualcomm Certified (QC3.0): NT6008 Fast Charge Chip:
BlitzWolf BW-P3 uses the NT6008 fast charging chip not only supports QC3.0 fast charge tech but also backwards compatible with all
versions of Qualcomm Quick Charge technology (1.0, 2.0 & 3.0). Also compatible with USB Type-C and can provide standard charging
for non-Quick Charge devices.
QC 3.0 Charger's Voltage Output will run at 3.6V-12V. Automatic voltage adjustment, provide better control of power consumption and heat.

Ultimate Material,Quality Assurance:
BlitzWolf BW-P3 Panasonic Li-ion Battery * 3. It not only provides protections from overcharge, overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit, but also enhances the charge-discharge efficiency.

  • Anyone know if these are just "AA" cells or the like, inside the case? The site lists
    Battery Type = Panasonic Li-ion Battery * 3

Based on the size of the one I have I'd assume they'd be 18650s. If I had to guess I'd say they use the Panasonic NCR18650BD but I can't be sure due to a lack of tech sheets on the product.

      • Can you buy something similar to this where you put in your own batteries?

        • Powered by eneloops?

        • @googoogaga:
          You discovered my cunning plan.

        • +1

@SamR: You could but the Panasonic 18650s are the greatest batteries out there. Almost zero self-discharge and a high recharge cycle count. The NCR18650Bs are actually the batteries currently powering Tesla cars.

        • @potplanty:
I am interested in them too!

Seriously, are there any slim portable battery packs that have easily replaceable 18650s and handle all the charging etc?

        • @SamR: Yeah from Jaycar but not QC3.0 due to obvious reasons. https://www.jaycar.com.au/10-000mah-power-bank-with-removabl…

        • @potplanty:

Thanks, I had to look up what QC3.0 was :)

powerbank that you can use AA eneloops with.
but we warned - apparently they arent great - because AA eneloops are only 1.2-1.5V each - to get the 5V USB power takes 4 batteries so 4x eneloops only gives you 2600mah.

          http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Universal-Portable-18650-Battery-…
This with ONE 18650 battery can give you approximately the same 2600mah

due to energy loss/conversions a phone with 3000mah battery - this will only charge your battery about 70% of the way before being empty

  • Size 10261.521.3mm

    It's kinda big

    Could this charge the switch?

    • Google says Switch is rated for 5V3A and this outputs 5V2.4A. It's not gonna charge as fast as your wall charger but it's almost there. In short, yeah it'd work.

      http://www.anandtech.com/show/11181/a-look-at-nintendo-switc…

Yes, it'll power it nicely. What potty didn't take into account is that the Switch uses less energy when undocked as it underclocks the GPU a little and only outputs a maximum of 720p in handheld mode as opposed to 1080p in docked mode this giving you less power draw.

  • great timing…was just looking for a qc3.0 power bank and viola !!!

  • how many times over can these charge an iphone? If i wanted to charge myself and partners iphone would it just do 1 x full charge each?
