Hi
Hoping to use my free PP for the first time. Hope someone with experience can share what they know.
Since I only have 2 pass, need to be selective in which lounge to use. Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur, Tokyo, Osaka?
What is the process? Are they happy with just a Digital one on my iPad or do I need to print a paper one out, or must get a physical card so that they can swipe it?
Some older post say need to book in advance. From what I know, phone numbers for lounge is hard to find :-(
What about the hubby? Did you pay $27 for your travellng partner, or leave them outside hehe?
Thanks in advance :-)

Many thanks for your sharing Jerri, what a very good insight! Sorry to hear about your son. They don't miss you don't they.
Can't believe there's not much in Oz. Will check out in more details after we firm up our job tinerary.
What does it o?
I used it once using my app on the phone in Bali, which can display a barcode/QRcode for them to scan. Didn't book in advance. I was flying solo at the time so never had to bring partner/son in. Never bothered using it when flying with family as the cost are not worth it.
PP lounges in Tokyo is as bad as it can get. Small. No food. Old chairs. Use it at KLIA and Brisbane if you want.
Thans John and Rashed for your response.
Hmm that got me thinking whether it's worthwhile to pay $395 for my Altitude Black…..If you are only getting the $395 CC for PPass, then you would be better off getting a 10 PPass Visit pass (Can share the 10 with others). Usually lots of discount offers around. Google 'priority pass discount'.
or try https://enrol.prioritypass.com/freddies14.cfm
Or buy Dragon Passes for <$30 per person visit. http://www.pointhacks.com.au/dragonpass-lounge-hack/Purchased a 10 pass deal. Used a few in Sth Africa, few in NZ, never had trouble getting in. Food usually pretty basic, have a fair range of drinks, not up to the better lounges, but OK. Only used card, but saw a few use the app says which ones will accept them on the website.
Used PP for me + 1 in Venice in January. Lounge was nothing special, but had food and beers. Given our flight was significantly delayed, that ended up being quite a number of free beers and food, and was calmer than out with the masses.
Wouldn't pay for it unless had a delay like that, but was good in that circumstance.
Brisbane is a new lounge and once Qantas has opened their new lounge it should be relatively quiet. This would probably be the best for 'value for money' but if it's your starting destination then I wouldn't bother spending longer at an airport than I have to. I've been to the one in KLIA before and it was fine. You could probably eat enough to class it as a meal but it's really more just nibbles and drinks and to get away from the crowds.
I'd say it's best used if you are on a stopover and need a shower/somewhere quiet to wait for your next flight. As others have said, your traveling partner can either buy a pass(through Dragon pass is usually cheapest) or wander the airport by themselves.
Thanx for sharing Peck, Trilby, Tizey & Zappy.
Will digest and decide before this one is due…
I always brought my card for them to swipe so I'm not sure if a digital card or a paper print out is OK. There is no more lounges in Sydney or Melbourne Airports any more, the only lounges available in Australia are now only at Brisbane, Cairns and Darwin, which is a pity because I live in Melbourne.
They tend to get pretty strict with children and I had to pay for my son even though he was only four and didn't really take anything, but since he's over the maximum age to be considered free, I had to pay. Remember the charges are in US dollars too so make sure you use a card that doesn't have international fees. You don't have to use the card linked with your Priority Pass if you got it through your credit card program, just tell them you want to use a different credit card and they'll be happy to accept it.
Do some research on the lounges you want to visit because some of them aren't great and it really isn't worth paying all that money to get in if you have to pay for your hubby.
