So I have a 2 bedroom apartment and a husky that sheds like a waterfall. I'd just like to see everybody's opinion on both vacuums
DYSON VS BOSCH Handheld Cordless Vacuums
Comments
Dyson has great vacuums.
Love my cordless Bosch. Would buy it again in a heartbeat, but no animals in the house Picks up long daughters Hair well though
Is it still going?
We use a dyson cordless, but not on a large area of carpet and no pets either.
We bought the Dyson V6 Slim a few weeks ago ($297 from The Good Guys). It's great, I'm actually quite surprised how much it picks up. Easy to manoeuvre. We now do a quick run over the floors every day or two - we have a cat and two young children so there's always foodscraps and cat hair to be cleaned up. It's such a pain to lug out the big old plug-in Vax we also own.
Vacuumed the car the other day, it worked a treat.
Only negative I have found is that you have to constantly hold your finger on the power button to keep it going. Not a big deal but a little annoying.
It has a powered head… we didn't bother looking into the additional features of the more expensive models.
Can't comment on the Bosch.Dyson V6 Animal Cordless
Pros
- Easy to use and dispose
- Bag less
- Will definitely cover your 2 bedroom apartment without charging twice.Cons
- The dyson head sometimes gets tangled with animal hair.
- Cleaning each component is time consuming.
- For maximum performance you have to use the high setting which drains battery faster (good for carpet)I have 2 cats and 1 dog in a 2 bedroom apartment, I use my Dyson for quick fixes throughout the weekdays.
I have since bought a C3 corded Miele cat and dog vacuum. Needless to say this has 5x suction power and makes the carpet look new.
If you are really worried about all the shedding, I would buy a corded vacuum.
Price difference
Dyson ($400-500)
C3 Miele Cat & Dog ($500 on sale with bags)Can't comment on the Bosch, I assume the prices are lower?
I think im going to go with Bosch, 1 hour battery life and 3x the suction. I wish it looked better but looks don't matter when I'm cleaning.
Did you get it? How is it performing?
do you have carpet?
if so id recommend you buy a corded dyson/bosch.
the cordless simply does not have enough grunt to get all those hairs out of the carpet.
i have double coat dog at home as well, and i always choose the corded dyson over the cordless.
