Hey guys, looking for speakers for my bedroom. Will have an amp/dac to hook them up to already. Looking to spend about $1000 no idea what to get. I'm thinking 2.0 bookshelves but there's so much variety i have no idea what to look for.

$100 or $1000?
$1000. Speakers are something that i don't see getting significantly better in the future like PC parts etc so i don't mind spending a bit now on quality which i'll be using down the years.
I have Kipsch bookshelf speakers which sound absolutely amazing. No need for a subwoofer with these either. Mine were around $500 a pair, but they have more premium models which have excellent reviews (RP-160M is around $1000).
JB seems to have decent sale on Dali speakers every year - the Zensor 1s are a steal at < $290!
