Premium Features 100% Free for Eligible Non-Profits and for Education @ Freedcamp

"A social work collaboration platform with emphasis in project management"

The generous team at Freedcamp offer their premium features free of charge for eligible non-profits and educational institutions/groups, pending an approval process.

Eligibility requirements are explained in more detail in the Freedcamp for Nonprofits FAQ and the Freedcamp for Education FAQ

When I worked in the disability sector in 2015/16 I found this and signed up. I used it within our department for our projects and was quite impressed with the platform. They claim on their website that AirBnb, Nike, Google, PayPal and other big corporations use their platform.

  • I like all the non-profits they exclude under Eligible teams.
If you're political, religious, discriminate, then bad luck.

    • Thanks - I signed up and tried this out and it seems pretty good. However I'm probably still settling on Freedcamp for my needs after comparing the two.

One issue I found with it is that there are no forums/discussions/wall features (that I could find, anyway) to enable conversations about what's going on, so we'd have to resort to email again, whereas Freedcamp comes with all that plus other stuff like file sharing. Having said that, for a simple task management platform I think Producteev is an easier tool to use.

The second issue is that Producteev seems to be a dead platform. Not much sign of activity from the vendor for quite a while and there are lots of unanswered comments in the forums asking what the plans are. Don't be surprised if Producteev suddenly ceases to exist at some point!

      • I use both. Used to have a subscription with Freed but their new free plan kindest covered my needs.

  • Thanks for this - just what I needed actually for a school committee I'm involved in. Not sure we actually need the pro features - the free plan seems to include quite a bit already - but if we run into limitations then it's good to know the option is there.

    • Glad I could help :)
