Thank you for you responses. The thing is when I did my research in carsales, I only able to find demo car for this type of car for the price of 32887
Please see links below
$32,500 from what the guys in Whirlpool got their car for. I got my VTI-LX for $34,300 DA with 5 years warranty (10% off RRP here in NSW via fleet pricing).
Nice good job, the sales people just rang me, he said he can do deal for 33k + door garnish + illuminating light + full pertrol + carpet + Cargo tray
I said I will think about it and get back to him
Looks a good price, go for it.
From my own and friend's experiences, we always try to get about 9-11% off the sticker with all the usual goodies included.
So at moment RRP is $35507
11% off will be $31956.3
is it what u saying? So 33k is bad price?
Those percentages are just a rough guideline of what is generally achievable and varies with different cars (demand). 33k is definitely not a bad price, but at the same time not a killer deal either.
Try a different dealer and see what sort of pricing do you get. I would be aiming for 8-15% of the RRP (excluding on road charges). Maybe even wait until the later half of this month to see if the dealers lower their price as they might not be meeting their sales quotas for the month.
Tried most dealer drop it 1 k from RRP , Scott honda
Back in the day Scotts were known as not being very good for negotiating prices.
should try in the roseberry?
If you've tried most of the dealers, you should have a pretty good idea of what they are offering on price. End of the day, you have a budget, so it's up to you if the price matches what you want to spend. None of us are going to drive the car, and you'll always find someone who manages to get one cheaper somewhere, somehow.
@nafe: Very true
If I were you I would wait tile after the last weekend of the month (assuming most sales are made during the weekend and the last weekend would be their last chance to meet the sales target). Call a few dealers and ask for a bettrr offer.
I have been researching for the new Civic too, I think most people can easily get 10-20% off RRP if you don't use their finance.
In Melbourne The RRP for the RS is $35435, they offered $33500, which is only around 5% off.
Probably try again at nearly the end of the month.
And other things this guy mentioned in the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8VYNFzmJIQ&t=693s
The Civic hatch is coming out too, dealers may want to clear some Sedan to make room for the hatch??
