Cheapest I've found (from reliable shops) is around $119 (JB-HIFI is $160??) Currently have a logitech G35 and it hurts my ears after about an hour of use so looking for comfort more than bells and whistles.

The cable on the G35 is none too flash either, it's a hard braided thing that doesn't like to straighten either. I'm open to other suggestions around that price point as long as it's USB and comfortable. :)
Rubbish, if you treat your cables properly there shouldn't be any problems braided or non-braided. Had mine for 6 months and the cable is like brand-new, no fraying etc - fold them up when they aren't being used.
Clouds are really comfortable with generously sized ear muffs, they're essentially slightly heavier Bose qcs so you'll love them, best to wait for an eBay tech voucher.
That's a silly comment. Why even bother with braided cables if there's no problems with non-braided and what has looking after cables got to do with how stiff they are?
It's like you don't understand why cables are braided.
Yeah I noticed my logic was off, cbs editing it.
Just a warning they are a good headset but the cable is the worst tangles right up my set didn't even last 3 months :(
If you do get a pair don't go pulling on cable to straighten it as it will pretty much stuff them up
