Shame now I have to manually convert everything into eneloops again

  • Are those surge powerboards worth it?

    • in regards to the USB ports generally the answer is no.
if they are good for charging it will usually highlight it but i cannot see a mention of it except that there are 2.

not sure about the other features though.

There is no link on the page!!

But yeh, 2.1A is prob max so pretty useless 1A each.
Definitely wouldn't be buying it for the USB ports

Might be time for sleep haha

  • Does that bracket tilt down as well?

Heavy duty batteries not worth it.

    • +1

Agreed, please don't buy carbon zine batteries.

My local target (Bendigo) has 36 packs of AA and AAA alkaline batteries for $6 atm (normally $10) not sure if its the same at other stores.

  • I won't buy non rechargeable batteries again bad for the hip pocket and the environment.

  • N.E.V.E.R. Buy. Heavy. Duty.

      Why?

      • +1

"Heavy Duty" and "Super Heavy Duty" are carbon zinc batteries which are basically worthless compared to alkaline.
Even though they are nominally cheaper, they are not good value.

        • Fair enough. I hadn't realised that those terms were used for that battery chemistry. I always go by the chemistry type (and the mAh rating of available) and ignore whatever nonsense is on the side as it's usually just some marketing bollocks.
