Unlimited Plan L - Bonus data effective from 13/09/2016 to 31/03/2017

    • Yeah, it's pretty misleading!

It's not even clear if you'll get 6GB on your first month 28 days if you order by the 31st. I would guess not.

Still, $15 for 3GB isn't terrible, but not worth the hassle of porting if the price goes back up to $30 28 days later.

      • I have sim card pack with me & on the pack it mentions as 6GB not as 3GB + 3GB bonus.
So check the sim pack as the distributor told me it is new promotional plan.

    • You will get 6gb for sure! There is no expiry date for the data bonus at this stage. You cannot port in for this plan. It's only for new customer or new number!

      • I thought carriers these days allow port in from other carriers. I am with Aldimobile and would like to get this plan but too bad if can't port in.

        • As I said this plan is for new customer only!

      • Your web page clearly says it expires today… You should speak to whoever writes your website and make it better next time.
"Bonus offer for sign-ups before xx/yy, bonus will be ongoing, subject to termination at our sole discretion when you least expect it."

Anyway, thanks for the reply, but losing my number is far too annoying to be worthwhile, so it's not for me.

        • you can port in and keep your old number with $2 sim or $10 sim, but you cannot port in to any of the plans! :)

  • Which network do they use?

    • optus. telstra

I've been with them for 6+ months on a 12 month prepaid deal. all good.

      always thought it was optus(?!?!)

      Telstra mate.

  • Is there an expiry date if you buy more than one and use?

    • No my friend, stock up and save for later. If you guys live or work around melbourne. We can meet and I will give you a much better price. :)

Their customer service is shocking. Expect to hold 30 mins plus each time and also they don't reply to emails.

  • is 50% for the first month only?

Hi Lyca Rep, For the last 4 months (approximately) my wife cannot make or receive calls when she is in Batemans Bay (South Coast, NSW). She has called & emailed Lyca support/help several times, but no satisfactory explanation has been forthcoming. She cannot use her most recent $10 recharge voucher because she cannot connect to your system! Would be grateful if you can explain why she is having this problem and how to resolve please.

    • OK 1st, pls check if her phone support 3g. Some of the oversea phone 3g is not support here :(

2nd the sim that she used might not support 3g, in that case all you need to do is get a $2 sim from anywhere and call lyca service to transfer the number to the new one.

      Hope this help :)

I've been on the customer service line queue for over 25 minutes (counting…). I don't recommend calling them during the daytime.

Do not fall for their offers. The worst service I had ever been on. At one time I had to wait 1 and 1/2 hour to talk to customer care and when I got connected, they were really unhelpful. Avoid!!!

    • Agreed.

      Waste of time

  • I've used Lycamobile before and found them quite good actually. Spoke to call centre (in Fiji I think) a few times and was satisfied with their service. Enjoy those international calls included too.

  • I did not get the 50% offer. they turned out with new terms (which is not mentioned on their website).
as I was with Lyca earlier in 2014 and I again went back to them in 2016, I did not get new customer benefit.

So be aware !!!! if you have been with Lyca before, DO NOT port back…

Lycamobile is seriously time waste, better stay with other teleco`s who has similar offer..

I will NOT recommend Lyca any more….
