Hi all.
I was recently offered Explore Gold through FlyBuys. Pretty chuffed as I'm not your average elite flyer :). I will be able to extend for the further 12 months due to an upcoming trip to US on Virgin, plus a return to Gold Coast on business.
As a Gold status newbie, I was wondering if more experienced Velocity Gold fliers could fill me in on the best lounges and perks? Especially for my US trip. I'm flying SYD>JFK via LAX, then SFO>SYD via LAX. I'll also be flying New York>Chicago; Chicago>Toronto; Toronto>Los Angeles. I haven't booked the internal flights yet but will be booking with Delta and possibly Air Canada.
I'm especially interested in free upgrades to Delta Comfort+ and nice lounges. Anything else, do tell :)
