Seoul, South Korea Return from Sydney $376, Melbourne $411, Perth $507 @ Air Asia (April-June) [via Kuala Lumpur]

240

Air Asia are offering flights to Seoul, South Korea for $376. This is the cheapest this route has ever been other than that crazy Virgin/Singapore flight error.

Most flights have a short layover however for the adventurous there are flights with a 7-8 hour layover in KL, which is plenty of time to take a cheapo bus into KL for dinner/entertainment.

Use Google Flights, then click on the calendar to find the cheapest date. Seems booking directly via Air Asia is the cheapest way to go (banner on their homepage). Air Asia May Flight $376.

  • Melbourne-Seoul $411 Google Flights. Only 1 long layover on the way back. Only a handful of $511 dates left. (31/3)

  • Perth-Seoul $507 Google Flights. Seems to be June only.

  • Gold Coast-Seoul $636 Google Flights. Pretty expensive but next best price is $1,200 on the other airlines. Better off getting a cheap flight domestically to Sydney.

Anyone have safety concerns about this budget airline because it's from SE Asia…where safety is not always top priority?

I've flown with them a few times , and did the melb to seoul route with them

    • I have no issue with Air Asia, So Far so good. Its not that your flying in a 20-30 year old Plane. It's all Modern Boeing Air Craft

      • All Airbus A320 variants actually. But yes they're new and fine. I next get on one on Tuesday (to Seoul even).

      • It's more to do with pilots and crew. They had English speaking communication issues which contributed to the crash couple years ago :-(

  • I checked on Iwantthatflight and it looks a bit cheaper $350

Heeeeeey pretty good deal. O P, bargain style

  • If you're young then i recommend staying in Hongdae (formal name is Hongik University area)

  • No food, no water, no in flight entertainment, no power and no USB ports on AirAsia?

  • Were they sold out or what? I can't find a single date close to that price, Melbourne.
