Great, more indie games I've never heard of & have little interest in

    • +3

Have to agree, this month sucks

    • +3

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a fantastic couch coop game for up to 4 players. Not much fun on your own though. Check it out, you might be surprised.

  • +2

No need for Sony to offer like they initially did. Already have the market share and now it's compulsory for online anyway.

    • +2

      Yeah f*** consumers

  • -5

In response to the Xbox kids saying they have it better than Sony when they don't research and find out a bunch of their month's games have already been on Plus, well…

HAHA WE HAVE LOVERS IN A DANGEROUS SPACETIME, YOU'D NEVER SEE A GAME LIKE THAT ON GOLD

    • +5
      • That was the whole point. That's like, like I wasn't even being subtle.

    • +1

I own both Xbox and PS4. Xbox certainly tends to have better offerings.

      • +1

My only issue with that it usually seems to be a high % of just BC games not 'new' games.
I am not renewing either sub until the quality of releases gets better.
As to playing with friends, seriously? I play games to avoid social interaction.

If you don't like Plus, unsubscribe.

It beats sulking to strangers online every month that Sony doesn't give you a new release AAA game.

Because you know, it's not like the membership gives you exclusive deals such as the best ever PSN sale so far, currently running right?

    • -2

so the best ever sale is on right now?

what are some great deals atm? just logged in, i honestly can't see anything that great.

      • Been plenty on this site, not hard to look, and they have been brilliant.

        • i look, i look regularly. haven't seen any? wanna make sure thats just hyperbole..

they've had big sales on regularly over the last 6 months, and you see some reasonable stuff (usually though its just the price the games should be cause, they're like old or have dwindling communities), but the 'best ever PSN sale so far' is a big call.. don't wanna miss it, just wondering where it all is, cause as far as i can see theres nothing that great on sale right now?

        • -1

          @autolux:
Well given I got the latest Final Fantasy a week or so ago for $20… I'd say that's brilliant,

All the big Sony exclusives have been on sale too.

        • +1

@autolux: exactly, other than uncharted 4 for 22.95, i have seen better deals elsewhere on all the games being currently offered in au store

        • +2

@scuderiarmani: tbh that was a mistake, not a genuine offering.

        • -2

          @yummycoot:

          How is that a mistake?

        • @suicine94: if you were talking about FFXV, it was a mistake from sony's part, the item was not supposed to get 80% off the original price of $99.99

    • We don't all have a lifetime supply of lube mate :p

  • +3

If you're not a PS+ subscriber, don't forget you can get access to this amazing lineup of games (and the March lineup too) for only $1.40. It might almost be worth the that much.

  • +2

I actually don't mind the indie titles… it's nor than likely that any big AAA game I wanted, i would probably have had bought it… whereas in less likely to buy smaller indie titles… was tempted to but lovers in a dangerous space time after a free recommendation so happy to have that as pay of plus… and interested to see if drawn to death is any good…

    • +2

I haven't even touched the "bigger" Plus titles like NBA2K16, LBP3, Resident Evil, Infamous First Light…it's all been stuff like Rocket League and Fez and Disc Jam that I totally would have overlooked otherwise. I'm happy with indie fare if it's quality.

I wouldn't be writing off Drawn to Death given that the guy behind God of War & Twisted Metal is behind it.

The PS4 has sold 56m consoles worldwide compared to XB1 29m. Sony control the console market, so the relatively strong offerings they gave with PS+ in the beginning to get the customers in, are no longer necessary. They offer better PS+ Subscription offers to non customers. It's all about getting you onboard, once you're there, they dont care.

  • Honestly I spend more time playing my PS3 and PS4 right now. Might park my PSPlus subscription since whenever I do play PS4, its offline. These monthly games really aren't of my interest anymore.

    • -1

I've gotten to the point where I can't recall the last game I played online.

  • It's actually a bonus for me. I own way too many triple A games and I've never heard of any of these games.

  • +1

    Garbage

  • +1

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is legit great.

Interested to give Jaffe's game a go.

  • Remember when it was at its peak at the end of the PS3 and they were giving out B+ and AA tier games each month, sometimes 2 or 3 of them?
    Those were the days.

    • There were lot of AAA games too. Now whenever someone complains about getting more indies, the response is usually "Yeah, where is my free Horizon Zero Dawn", like that's the only alternative to indies. How about some older AAA games which regularly go for $6-$20? Is it that much of a stretch considering that's the same price as a lot of the indies we get?

      • Exactly. I've played and finished KZ SF but I mean it's regularly $10
What about Until Dawn? Order 1886 - all of these games have been $10 US
Have a month where we get one of those and a shitty as heck indie game, I'm ok with that.

  • Thank god for the xbox subscription games

  • +3

Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is a really great couch-coop game. Enjoyed it with 3 other friends. Not regretting that I paid full price for it less than a month ago.

I honestly wish there were more games like these (and Overcooked!!!)

Try it before you diss it

      • for overcooked!!! really looking forward to playing Lovers out now….. :)
    • +1

Super fun couch coop games I've played which you may like (since we have 2 games in common already)
      - Gauntlet: Coop top down RPG lite where the death of your friends is sometimes to your benefit.
      - Helldivers: Another coop top down shooter. Kinda hard but super rewarding.
      - Lara Croft and the Guardian of the Light/Temple of Osiris: Coop action puzzle for 2/4 players.

      • my 4 yo loves overcooked…. the other games area bit too hard for him…… need to find more 4 players coop games for 4 yo :)

    • Wait has overcooked been free?!

    • Keep an eye out for Ultimate Chicken Horse, I read that one's coming to ps4 soon (I play it on PC locally with mates and it's great)

There's also Sportsfriends originally from ps4 that is great fun as well as Spelunky. Also the Jackbox Party Games are great and Gang Beasts is also heap of fun if it ever comes to ps4 (I've heard it was on there in the past but I only got my ps4 in December).

It's kind of strange but the majority of 4 player couch games live on the PC at the moment. I'd much prefer them to be console for portability and we're slowly getting there.

  • Considering Drawn to Death is a PS4 exclusive multiplayer arena shooter, long in the works, that's stellar. I've played Lovers before at a friends and it's a great coop game!
