Greenseas Tuna 95g - $10 for 10 - Coles

440

I saw this deal at Coles, Caulfield, Vic. This includes all varieties, flavoured or not. $8.50 is saved off the regular retail price. I stock up whenever these are on sale because they're the best in my opinion.

ouch would not like to be that guy. jv should be put on suicide watch

    • I bought the same today! >_< refund!! haha

    • I thought the Woolies ones were John West's? Different brand, same colour packaging though.. cause I got them mixed up too then I realised they were different brands. Unless Greenseas at Woolies was also 4 for $6?

I don't have room to store 10 unfortunately so I chose to buy at Woolies. Now if they did 5 for $5 I could handle that. :)

You don't have room for under 1kg of fish?

      Dude. My sympathies.

    • no room? what the hell?

  • +1 for protein.

  • okay i bought 10 of the tuna in oil yesterday and it's totally changed! the colour/texture/smell of the fish is completely different (worse), i'm actually really disappointed

    • I think you've got a fair cause then to return them for at least a pro rata refund, Coles are normally pretty good on that kinda stuff! ;)

The olive oil is the only line that I buy from Greenseas, and I had some quality issues for the first time a few weeks ago. (After many many years.)

Actually, the $1/tin rate specials are very regular for Greenseas, I virtually never buy them at a higher rate.

My tip this week would be Sirena chilli 125gm for $2 (at WW) — they even come with an image of a mermaid on the metal lid!

      • well i noticed the lid/ring pull is also slightly different, so i might have to try and hunt down some of the older style ones :)

        • Interesting — I'll check this out next time.

  • I bought 30 of them today, mostly the spicy chilli variety. I'll be going back for more.

    They're tasteful.

Hmm, good deal! These sell out pretty quick at the local though…

    • I hope the new Red Dwarf goes back to it's hilarious roots…OMG the "Back to Earth" special was abominable! :o

    • grox wtf is that?

  • An IGA near my work in Perth Airport sells these all year round for 95c each. Just goes to show how much profit these big guys make.

  • It's on the front page of this weeks Coles catalogue - Sale ends tomorrow.

  • Very nice! Don't forget to pull off the labels and collect the codes for the rewards programs at www.greenseasrewards.com.au

Each can is worth a music track download from EMI
or 14 cans gets you a $20 Roses only voucher
or 12 cans gets you a collage mug from Snapfish

or probably the best value: 5 cans = 2-for-1 3-month unlimited Hoyts movie pass.

Awesome if you're already buying the tuna ;)

  • John West Tuna 95grams was 91cents a can at Foodland. A much better deal for those in SA and NT. Think that ended today though.

  • I also eat a lot of tuna, wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to get some straight from a supplier. If the price is right I'm interested in getting up to 400 cans? any ideas?

    • Might be better value in that case if you just buy bigger cans cans of tuna and add your own chopped onions, sun-dried tomatoes, olives, etc. Otherwise, depending on your state, maybe Costco would have a similar product in bulk quanities.
