    Does it have "8 power levels adapt to all your cooking needs, from 100 W to 2100 W" or "9 power levels: from 450 W to 2100 W" ? How are people who write this copy still even alive? (not aimed at the O.P)

    FYI, Ikea has an induction hob. Not the same but much cheaper - $59.

      $69.95 in Adelaide/Perth stores, I don't understand their prices, sometimes Adelaide/Perth is cheaper, sometimes more. I realise they are franchises but they are importing the products from the same place right?

      Steptoe: how well does the IKEA one work on low power using pulsed power?
      I've had prev cheapo portable induction cooktops that couldn't really simmer well - it was more like intermittent boiling.
