How Much Is My HP Laptop Worth Now? (Was $1799 New)

Last year, in a dizzy moment, I purchased a HP hybrid thinking I need it. I haven't switched it on three times and before i keep it for another year i will rather sell while it's still something worth. It was $1799 but how much is it worth now?

It is a HP Elite x2 1011 G1 and the specs are

HP ELITEX2 1011 - L8M01PA
Intel® Core™ M-5Y71 with Intel HD Graphics 5300
128 GB M.2 SSD
4GB RAM
11.6" diagonal FHD BrightView IPS eDP ultra-slim LED-backlit touch screen (1920 x 1080)
Windows 10 Pro 64 BIt

It has also extended warranty until mid 2019.

Thanks

  • $300?

tbh that CPU gets a passmark score of 3070. The 1k lenovo 2 days ago gets 5000.

    • It's high price is because it's a hybrid laptop.

Roughly $500-$700 depending on how hot the Auction goes. The thing with these ultrabook laptops, is there is very little that differentiates them or causes people to target a certain model. Their selling point is thiness and battery at the time, but these things are constantly being improved on everyday.

      That is a ridiculous statement.

  • $700 bid

    $1000 buy it now.

    $300-$500

  • A similar unit is listed for $849 on Shopping Express. Looks like the 1011 is not the current model.

If you did pay $1700 odd for it, you might as well keep it now.

    • That seems to be the one, just that mine has more than double warranty.

      • If you can get it new for $850, then you're looking at around $400 -$500 max for yours with the warranty (not that the warranty is worth much).

      • I'm not sure if the warranty will be transferable to the new owner.

Look at second prices on ebay and gumtree, they should help. Unfortunately, i don't anyone is going to pay half what you paid for. There are just so many new alternatives at $1000 for these specs.

Insure it then drop it if you want to get some money back on it
