LATE EDIT HERE: Vouchers are often the way to go if item is avail at a shop. Using the Apple TV as a guide only. My calcs are based on the cost of store vouchers(they differ) i.e. HN vouchers are cheaper than JB’s. The 25% discount has been applied to below.

QFF Store has Apple TV for 31695. JB Hifi @$238 = 30202 Pts | Harvey Norman $239 = 29254 Pts

In this case HN wins as a $250 voucher costs 30263 points which is 1362 points less than buying from Qantas store. One also has $11 left over to spend PLUS one can bargain price down more in store (assuming you have a store near you). So if you are a true Ozbargainer & have the time, its worthwhile comparing.

        • I dont have enough points. is there a way to buy giftcards with points and pay?

        • [@PPrem] hardly worthwhile. Just keep your points but if you must cash them in, then buy a lesser value.

  • I have 180k points. Is the Ps4 + VR worth it? Or would i be better off getting ps4 pro

    • Yes!

    • Double check the price at JB/HN. Might be better off getting gift vouchers and buying in store. Would make warranty easier if the issue arises.

So based on an above comment that yesterday a "Woolies egiftcard was 13500 for $100", (Today being 18000)which means they increased the cost as 25% of 18000 is 4500

I wonder is it just the gift cards that increased, does anyone know?. Perhaps they deliberately increased the Gift cards to ensure they were excluded. Might make managing/adjusting their Webstore prices easier for their programmers by increasing the prices of excluded items hence when entering the code brings things back down to normal price. No good for those who don't know about the code Just a thought?

    • I didn't look at woolies. Just JB and HN. 14100 for HN and JB was 15000

So all gc jacked up now?

  • +3

Current price for $500 Woolies gift card is 93,050 points. I purchased one on the 2nd March and it was 93,500, so the prices don't appear to have risen in the last three weeks.

    • Apparently people are reporting it has risen, so I dont know. LOL Also buying 2x $250 egift cards is cheaper at 90000

  • +3

Just to further do your mathematical minds in. You should also caculate that a woolies $200 gift card is actually only worth $190 as this is the price you pay via sites like cash rewards.

  • Can you use DJ e-Gift card to purchase david jones online?

    • YES YOU CAN

      • Can you use multiple gift cards and pay the balance with $ though?

        • YES YOU CAN

    • i was reading into this - T&C's says you can claim a max of 5 cards per online transaction. i haven't done it myself as i'm yet to receive my cards :(

  • Thanks. I bought $250 Caltex e-gift card for 33750 points (saved 11250 pts).

    • Wish I could convert my "Doggy's Doo" into $8000+ vouchers or a whole lot more if used for Flight upgrades :-)

  • They have defo jacked them up. I "bought" this in Feb:

FYI to those who are planning to purchase Bose QC 35: If the headsets have 1.0.X firmware, DO NOT UPGRADE the firmware to 1.2.X.

QC35 Noise Cancelling Not As Good As Before

  • I purchase a few eGift cards last week but still haven't received them, I logged in and still says in progress …. does it really take this long to email a few eGift cards?? Will call them today

  • Apparently takes up to 4 business days for eGift cards to be sent out …. isn't the whole point of eGift cards is to receive them immediately?? Might as well get physical cards!

    • I ordered on the first date this was posted. Got the egiftcards just now. 4 business days

      • Yep just got mine today as well

  • How long does it take for a gift card to arrive? Heading overseas and would like to get something in store with gift card before I fly in 10 days.
Also, have DJ stopped selling Electronics like headphones etc since dick Smith collapse?

Bought Jetstar gift voucher on 23/3. Still 'in process' :( You wouldn't want to be trying to grab a sale flight…

    • Thanks for the heads up. I'm booking a Jetstar flight right now from their Easter sale and was hoping to use this deal, glad you let me know.

      • Still no voucher :(

        • Grim. The Qantas shop website even says "This voucher will be sent by email the next business day after order."
          Yeah right…
I'm just lucky there's a Jetstar sale on.

        • @korda: Voucher finally arrived and it's made out to 'Member W', not in my name… wtf? Last time I pricebeat with Jetstar and used a voucher, the agent had a lot of questions… I think it needs to be in your name :(

  • $1200 in jb gift cards for ~152k points to get the pixel 128gb.

    Can't decide.

  • Picked up an iPhone 7 128GB and an Apple leather case on the last day of this deal. Two days later I received the case by express post. However, 1 week later there is still no sign of the iPhone. Whats surprising is that on my Qantas store order history, both items show as "In Process". So I rang customer service today and the guy says they have been informed that there is an indefinite delay on the iPhone 128 GB and he can give me no ETA. When I mentioned how I have received the case but the website is not up to date, he himself commented that the new website is not very good :S

Finally, he volunteered that he could assist me in cancelling the order and also organise return of the case! I don't want to return or cancel - I just want the phone quick! This is quite poor of the folks at Qantas. They should at least work with Apple to allow pickup from a local store - there's lots of stock at the store last time I checked.

Anyway, end of rant. Anyone else ordered an iPhone on this deal - or any other Apple product? Have you received it yet?

    • I'm in the same boat, weird that that the 128gb model is still available on the website!

      • Just an update - I just received my iPhone! (order was submitted on 28 March)
