Sim Card for Vietnam & Cambodia for 10 days-which to buy/value?

Hi,

I'm heading to Vietnam next month for 10 days.

also going to do a quick trip to cambodia to visit the school which my kids school sponsors as well - my eldest child is school captain so to placate the school due to me pulling the kids out of school during term we will do a cambodia trip as "official school captain business". yes, I'm boasting when I mention that. #prouddad

just wondering which sim card is the best value for mainly data for 10 days and covering vietnam and cambodia?

    I used 'smart' network in cambodia, $5 usd for 4GB and 'viettel' in vietnam, $7 usd for 3.5 GB. Both were data only sims and worked flawlessly nearly always having a 4g connection. Not sure if there is a sim that will cover both countries but I'm guessing roaming charges would be cheap.

    Two different countries, you will need two different SIMs.

    Unless you want to pay Australia roaming charges.

    have used viettel before in vietnam and had no issues what so ever.

    got mine from the airport and asked them politely to set it up.

    Viettel owns metfone in Cambodia and they just recently announced that roaming fee were abolished between the two countries so you can now use viettel sim card for both countries, it says data is about $12/gb now whether you are roaming or not, but I'm not sure if the prepaid data pack (which has much better rate) can be used while roaming.
