New Sofa - Something Cheap

  I actually purchased this sofa from the same seller. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/371448870081

  I know it's​ not 'leather', but holy crap it's a terrible sofa. The stitching started coming apart within hours and I asked for a refund. They gave me a refund and told me to keep the sofa.

  If you were in Melbourne, I'd give you the sofa for free!

    Wow, that sounds awful. However, it does look like it's super-light to its advantage - thanks to the super-cheap and thin materials.

  Don't go cheap - it will be uncomfortable and fall apart quickly. Look for something good quality that is onsale. If you buy correctly it will be the sofa you sink into everyday and relax. We have 3 King couches that also work as great beds when people stay over. They are incredibly comfortable, they are made of leather with a metal frame and they still look great after all these years. I doubt I will need to buy another couch for the rest of my life.

  the first one isnt that cheap really, its vinyl so would be awful to sit on , and the review at the bottom says its really poor quality.
  i would say the same with the other.
  and more than $200 to deliver.
  dont buy the online ones cos you cant tell what they are really like.

  just go to amart furniture, fantastic furniture or similar and see what they have.

  also drop into ikea and check that out too.

  PU leather!! — avoid. check out hard rubbish collection and you'll see many of these out on the nature strip with the material falling apart. don't waste your money.

  if you want leather then check out gumtree or ebay for a decent used leather couch. a good leather couch should last and last - if you use leather food on it every few years. my borther picked up an awesome used leather couch for $200 off ebay. once polished and treated with leather food then it looked brand new and worth the $5000 it originally cost.

    checkout fantastic furniture. whilst a lot of their stock is crap (my opinion/taste) I did pick up a nice (my opinion/taste) couch from them. had it for 5 years and finally sold it as we were gifted a new sofa. but i miss the old FF couch.

  Every once in a while Freedom does flash sales of 25% off and I also belive you get 10% off if you are a racv member or something like that.

  used moran leather couch on ebay for $120

  that is a bargain. and will last another 10 years easily.

  get some shoe nugget and polish it up. you'd be laughing.
