I'm traveling to Europe for work mid year and was looking at flying over to the states (East coast - Washington DC) to see my brother. Figured it will save me a few hours compared to flying from Melbourne. Anyone know what would be the best and cheapest destinations in Europe or U.K to fly from. A while back they use to say London had the most expensive airport taxes but I've now heard mixed reviews since Brexit vote.

Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, Oslo, Dublin, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels are all pretty good on airport taxes flying out to the USA.
Thanks rambutann and Skramit. I'll start with these locations and start comparing. Cheers

Thanks!
Norwegian air. Generally cheap from London to new York/LA. I think its also cheap to Boston (not necessarily from London with Norwegian though.. Maybe out of Oslo or something). But yeah generally Norwegian air have the cheapest flights over there. Alternatively Westjet are fairly cheap into Canada out of London.
